Looks like they're expanding the Budweiser bar out further - and they removed at "balcony" that was below it.

Do you all think that they'll bring the fences in a little further at some point? Mets did it with Citi Field twice, I think San Diego also moved in the walls at Petco Park more than once.

Honestly now that the city of San Diego has built up so much around Petco, the ball has traveled a lot better, wouldn't be surprised if the trend continues if they move walls back a little. Not to where they were originally but maybe halfway.

@rmc523 Looks like they could keep the balcony there, maybe if possible lower it just a tidbit. I like that they're expanding the bar just a little bit, though.

Looks like those i-beams are resting on the balcony wall there, meaning they'd have to lower it by at least 10 feet to have adequate room for it, and there's likely not enough room for that.  That section I think was used for groups in the past, so with that new lower section on the home run area, it makes that area unnecessary.

Well, I wouldn't have been surprised if they had done that, but I'd imagine they would've included any sort of announcement along those lines with the previous info about the other ballpark enhancements - i.e. "we're making these SRO sections, and bringing the fences in too."

Though I guess they've also said more changes would be coming both this year and in the future.  Could also be them doing things in stages - the SRO things this year, and move fences next year.  Though you think with how cheap Jeter is, they'd only want to replace the fence padding once, not this year and next year.

@rmc523 How did you get such detailed close pics? This is trespassing.

I have my ways  Muahahahaha!

Lol, yeah, it was on a blog or twitter or something from the team, don't remember where exactly.

Good look at the right field standing section. You can see the concourse behind that has had the colors removed

What would you guys think if they painted that white support column a different color?  It had been yellow in the past but blue would blend more similar to the one on the left.

Yeah match it to that other one.

Stuff looks good. I wonder when they'll start transitioning the outfield walls to that blue color. Hopefully before the season, shouldn't be too difficult, right?

Seems like a matter of peeling off the old padding and slapping on the new one. Probably can be done in a day.

Still not sure about the removing of the colored tiles but the bullpen looks amazing in that shot.

Yuck, I really hope they're planning on something more than just plain white concession windows.  One thing I think may be an option - with all of the new food options being branded/outside companies, perhaps they'll leave concession stand design to the individual companies for their window, and what we're seeing is just the "blank slate" for them?  So like Pincho is black/yellow - maybe the front of their store will be yellow?  Or black with yellow accents?   Just a guess.

Well, the yellow you're thinking of was really a big tarp type thing with Miccosukee branding on it.  The blue one to the left is just covered with one of those giant stickers for the Aquafina sponsorship.  It does look kinda plain, though.

Lol, yes it'll be done before the season.  It's just colored padding, so it'll likely take a day or two.

On a side note, how cheap is Jeter?  The players will now have to avoid golf greens, holes, and sand traps?

If you get the baseball to drop in the hole, do you score a run?

It's like the Ivy at Wrigley, a ground rule double.

Look at this interesting idea the Rays have with new social gathering spaces...

Isn’t this exactly what the marlins are doing
