FanFest - Feb 9

Featured Replies

Not going to lie, I'd like to have a poster sized print of the graphic in that tweet without the "Fanfest/save the date" thing on it.

Why are they making it look like tickets have to be purchased?

Yeah, I thought that was odd too.

I agree, it is pretty cool looking.

I always enjoy taking my young sons to Marlins Fan Fest.

3:00 PM start.  That’s much later in the day than most Marlins Fan Fests in the past, right?

Yea 3 or 4 has usually been the ending time. Usually it started at 10 or 11 am. Interesting change there.

Maybe they want it to extend into the night because Miami = nightlife?

It'll actually help me drag my nephew there this year, I've had a hard time the past three years taking him with such an early start.

It says free admission.  Not sure why they have that stuff about claiming free tickets.

3:00-7:00 PM is dumb.

11:00-4:00 is perfect:

Not so early that you have to set an alarm clock or rush through breakfast and showers and not so late that it interferes with Saturday night dinner plans.

I read they're gonna do fireworks, that's probably one of the reasons they want some of it to be after dark.

The email I got advertised the festivities as including "live music, food trucks, merchandise, giveaways, autographs, on-field access".  The last two were in smaller font than the others.  I find that very odd.  The only reason to go to a FanFest is to get autographs, selfies, etc.. with, you know, the baseball players.  Who cares about live music and food trucks?
