June 29, 20197 yr Probably referencing the July 4 hat since it’ll be the old F logo but with the American flag in it.
June 29, 20197 yr Author Probably referencing the July 4 hat since it’ll be the old F logo but with the American flag in it. I don't think so. They're clearly showing the black cap here and making the tweet seem "mysterious" so to have it be a cap that's already revealed doesn't seem the way it's going.

June 30, 20197 yr Author Never doubt me again. Interesting that the Marlins are doing this again for a few reasons... last year was the 25th anniversary season so they almost had to do throwbacks. This year is not an anniversary year so there's no obligation to do it again and also they introduced the new uniforms and some teams don't like throwbacks when a new uniform is out because it can easily distract from the new look. So maybe this implies that they keep this up every year?
June 30, 20197 yr Author They're saying the throwbacks are for July 26-28th but that's a four game series. Wonder why not wear them in the fourth game as well?

June 30, 20197 yr It was announced during the off-season they’ll do the Throwback h is again this season why everyone is so surprised they’re doing it again , now I’m surprised they’re doing to celebrate the 97 WS win
June 30, 20197 yr I don’t think the team ever announced it. Some website leaked that information and since the team never confirmed it kind of fell off the radar until now
July 1, 20197 yr Author As cool as this pic is the first thing I think seeing it is that the vests haven't aged as well as we remember them. Wonderful as throwbacks for the nostalgia but I don't think these would work as well regularly in 2019. Last year's original uniforms looked better. Is it just me?

You know what I just noticed, and it's really funny. I think Loria got the "toothpaste" abstract Marlin design from the tail of the "S" in Marlins (the part under the "MA", but flipped upside down.

July 1, 20197 yr Hate to jump the gun but... 2003 throwbacks next year? Sure, why not. But this should be done every year. What the Diamondbacks are doing with Throwback Thursdays is great. Wear them on that day starting next year. This Marlins regime has shown to listen to the their fans and make it all the sense in the world.
