Indeed, and if Devers ends up being decent, then that ends up being an actually good trade. A lot of factors play into that, of course. Stanton has practically missed this entire year.

One could argue getting the Yankees to take that $300 million already made it a good trade as it was very much a salary dump before anything else and that definitely got done. Having the players be any good would make it a great trade. There's a long list of salary dump trades where not one player contributed anything... anyone remember the Ricky Nolasco salary dump?

So this was my bad - it was actually Edward Cabrera to be fronting the rotation with Sixto, not Guzman. So, probably the bullpen for Guzman, but either way - excited to see him pitch for us in the future. Our #5 spot is kind of up in the air in the future, so ... who knows!

Not anything like a Hal Steinbrenner move at all, which is what made it odd.
