It's not really that hard. There's too much anxiety around that team as if they always suck.

 

Since the year 2000 they've only had 2 losing seasons (one of which their losing record was just 80-82) and they've made the postseason 11 times.

 

They've made the postseason every year since 2013 and have reached the World Series twice in that span.

 

For all the talk about how much they choke they're virtually always a great and competitive team who gets quite far but just happens to lose. It's not really a question of how do you make them better it's just a matter of when they'll finally be able to complete a postseason run. Some of it is truly just bad luck. True Dodger fans can't really complain. It would be like someone complaining that their Lamborghini has a scratch on the hood. Those fans have plenty to be thankful for and they and their front office can be frustrated by their lack of recent world titles but all in all they have to be happy with the job they've done with that team.

 

I'm not sure a single true Dodger fan would trade all these playoff losses for some losing seasons along the way. As a Marlins fan I wish we could say "ahh too bad we couldn't close out the NLCS a few more times."

He's one of those guys that you say, "when he's on the mound there's a chance at a no hitter." When he's on, he is so so fun to watch. Crazy to think he's in his 14th season now, feels like yesterday he was debuting.
