September 25, 20205 yr Does Wallach have the potential to be an everyday player. Maybe not a gigantic dude with the bat but seems more people are turning on Alfaro about how he handles pitchers and Pablo really seems to like Chad
September 25, 20205 yr I don't think Wallach can hit enough to be an everday player. If anything that thought just comes from people's frustrations with Alfaro but I definitely see Alfaro as a more capable hitter long term than Wallach. Wallach is a fairly big dude physically though, you would think he is capable of more power.

Wallach also doesn't swing at three straight sliders out of the zone like they're 99 mph fastballs center center.

Marlins could still get a wild card berth depending on what Cincinnati, Milwaukee, St. Louis, and San Fran do. But 2nd place is the only spot that makes sense.
September 25, 20205 yr One thing to note: If the Marlins win another game, then either St. Louis or Milwaukee will finish behind us. If the Giants lose 2 of 4 or the Phillies lose 1, we would get in. If we win and the Giants get swept in their double header tonight, we would actually get in regardless of what Philly does.

Those of us who have followed the team since the earliest years have experienced 2 world championships here and it's a blessing and a joy but there are so many Marlins fans who became fans after 2003 or who were too young to remember 2003 very well.

I was 13 at the time, and remember watching some of it, but definitely didn't follow the team like I do now - I feel like I really started following the team in '06 ironically - at least that's when I really remember anyway.
