And THIS is the moment the team decides to look for a high leverage arm.

I just cannot understand why there is no foresight with the moves they make (or don't make).

They seem to plan on EVERYTHING going just right, with no contingencies or room for error, aside from SP "depth" even if that means counting on inexperienced guys to keep us in the hunt when the inevitable injuries come along.  I'm predicting there will be an injury (probably Pablo) and they'll/we'll again wish they'd have signed the good vet starter to eat innings that I call for them to sign every year.....

And instead, now they have to panic because they didn't fortify the bullpen with a guy or two when they were on the market and got relatively inexpensive contracts.  Just STUPID.

Bad news, none left in the market that I know of. Probably should have checked when there were some.

Now we have to deal prospect(s) for one.

And this will be when they do some boneheaded trade with high end prospects for some mediocre bp arm. That would be so Marlins.

Retarded.  All cause Sherman wouldnt spend a few million on a few established high leverage relievers.

cheapass

Any chance Bryan Reynolds can be the closer?

While I was obviously joking what I was implying with this is do the Pirates have any good relievers because it would cool if this Floro thing inspired them to call about the Reynolds deal and maybe Pittsburgh throwing in a good reliever convinces the Marlins to pay the prospect price to finally get this big trade done.

Thank you Floro.

This goes beyond cheapness. They seem to have an issue focusing on more than one thing at a time. All the focus was on adding a bat so they ignored the reliever market

It really does increasingly seem like that doesn't it?

would it honestly surprise you to see Don try that if they had acquired Reynolds?

Unfortunately doesn't even "seem" like it - that's just how it is. They stated they wanted to figure out CF before addressing other areas.

Stottlemyre - Hey guys, Floro isn't ready to go.  I really think we should look at using Holloway in the pen though. He's really good for an inning at a time.

Don and Kim in unison "NO! HE'S A STARTER ONLY. HE'LL FIGURE IT OUT SOME YEAR.  KEEP HIM IN THE MINORS FOREVER"
