Is it bad that I almost want the team to still be kinda bad so he can go off on them?

I feel he won't though right? He has to ingratiate himself to the front office...even though I like him for being one of us...I feel like he has to play politics to keep his job.

Alright, now that I've let annoyance subside.

Perhaps the west coast road trip to begin the year threw the team off a bit. We don't usually start so far from home and having our spring games down here and having to fly cross country, maybe it was just taxing on the team.

If we can go 4-3 on this upcoming homestand I'd be OK with that.

Just win series

It's year five of rebuild but they played like the year one.

It's a win-now team but played like a tanking team.

What they want to do now ? it's not my business.

Just win a game...I would be happy with that.

That's where you went wrong...Ng built a "Win...how?" Team.

I try not to get up and arms about a team 5 games in. Longgg season. But man, it took a total of 2 series for the issues we all worried about to come to light.

Last night was a perfect example of a 2022 marlins game

1. Tremendous SP effort

2. Lack of run support due to a crafty SP and an offense without a true approach

3. Poor OF defense costing us a run

4. Bullpen blowing the game late

This is the team Kim Ng built. She better hope it turns around in a hurry.

I didn't watch, but it looks like DonDon started DLC but put him in left field. Thoughts on that versus having him in CF and Sanchez in left?

If they're set on Sanchez in CF, let him get all the reps he can there.

My annoyance was he started DLC and pinch hit for him when a righty came in yet let BA stay in.

Don seems to dislike DLC for some reason

I wouldn’t say that. He put him in the 4 hole immediately. Meanwhile, Jazz is still bottom of the order

Which also didn't make sense, but sure I guess fine whatever Don. Lol.

i agree with this as well - he's going to end up being that guy that seemingly succeeds on the rare chances he gets and we all clamor to be starting regularly but he ends up being traded, etc. and succeeds elsewhere.

I genuinely would like to see what he can do as a starter.  He had that insane hot start to his career which was largely unsustainable due to the BABIP% or whatever it's abbreviated as - but he does have good speed, seems to be able to at least handle the corner OF spots well and not strike out very much.  I'd take him in the lineup over BA for sure in a heartbeat at this juncture.  He had his hot start last year, the league adjusted, now give him a chance to adjust back and see what he can do.  He usually makes decent contact which alone makes him unique in this lineup.

I'd 100% rather have him leading off over Soler as well.

I don't blame him. A lot of people dislike DLC. It's a common sentiment that video games should come with all the content already available on disc and having to pay for later additions is a lame business model.
