Please. If they try to get swept, they'd probably first win the series.

Luzardo has now struck out 23 batters in 14.1 innings. Obviously it's only three starts and his second start was rocky, but I do like what I'm seeing so far.

Unless they decide to go with one spot starter, everyone will start three times with Sandy going a fourth time in this stretch.

Given the opponents, I feel like 10-6 is a fair minimum acceptable record. That puts us at 17-14 which is a fair start.

If the offense really comes around, 12-4 isn't impossible.

Roster crunch will occur in the middle of this so team has to be wary of that.

17-14 is an 88+ win pace, so that is well beyond fair and would be "amazing." If they go 14-17 over this span with two west coast trips (tough) and playing multiple other series against supposed contenders, that is a very good start.

They have plenty of guys with options, so there isn't going to be a roster crunch issue.

The only issue is the same - they need a massive bat upgrade and is this FO going to have the vision to do it ASAP or get complacent and think Jon Berti (.500 BABIP), DLC (.429 BABIP), Anderson (.421 BABIP), Cooper (.407 BABIP), Jesus (.395 BABIP), and Wendle (.375 BABIP) are going to keep this up? That's 243 PA of significant over achieving - and doesn't include the preposterous Jazz slugging .727. It's true Rojas, Garcia, Soler, and Stallings are equally under achieving with horrendous BABIP and other rates which are likely unlucky (206 PA), but Aguilar has stabilized on luck and he just stinks so far (ands Henry stinks too albeit 13 PA) so hopefully that is just a SSS concern and not a larger trend.

Basically, they are likely over achieving more than underachieving offensively right now and are 18th in runs scored. That is not good, but the schedule has been a little hard and this is very acknowledgly a small sample size so maybe they are closer to average. Given that the only plus defenders on the team so far are Jazz, Wendle, Rojas, and Garcia, we can likely only assume Stallings and maybe Anderson join them once more games are played, they can improve defense in 2 spots with 1 CF (kicking Sanchez to LF), and they need someone who can hit lefties a bit to further help out as they need that....... hopefully this dingleberries are figuring out how to get someone like Laureano ASAP as he checks every box. It's hard to take them seriously until this happen. Nothing has changed.
