A little scary at the end there BUT it's a Marlins series win over the Braves!

Luzardo strong outing overall.

Cooper keeps hitting.

Avi and Soler almost went yard. Berti tripled. Lots of good. I'll just focus on that for now.

Day off tomorrow. Then a 16 game stretch without another day off.

Can't believe they didn't blow that

Especially since the perfect guy to blow it was in there with Head.

Poor guy must have gone through hell in high school lol

man, i had some food poisoning last night from some bad clams and this game was a rough ride there at the end that didn't help

Scott needs a day off

Please stop admiring non-hrs and hustle all the way

Head, to my surprise, made some good pitches

Only one bad pitch actually.  The one he hung over the middle of the plate to Ozuna.

Thankfully they kept adding on because any game in Atlanta has the chance to make you physically ill.

it was giving me flashbacks of the first series they played there last season where they had the lead going into the 9th with a shot at the uber rare 4 game road sweep and blew it

And the game where we had a five or six run lead in the 9th with two outs and suddenly couldn't get anyone out and lost.

Was that the one that Swanson laced a walk off double down the line in? That game still give me nightmares.

No, we got singled to death, I think.

Three against San Francisco, two against LAA, four against Philly, three against St. Louis, and three against Atlanta, and we got seven wins in that stretch with, honestly, 10 being achievable. Without a lot of players on offense doing their usual thing, that's pretty solid. 7-8 after that isn't too bad considering only the Angels were a below .500 team last year.

Alright, so, upcoming stretch.

Day off tomorrow.

16 consecutive games.

 - Washington, away

 - Seattle, home

 - Arizona, home

 - San Diego, road (4)

 - Arizona, road

Unless they decide to go with one spot starter, everyone will start three times with Sandy going a fourth time in this stretch.

Given the opponents, I feel like 10-6 is a fair minimum acceptable record. That puts us at 17-14 which is a fair start.

If the offense really comes around, 12-4 isn't impossible.

Roster crunch will occur in the middle of this so team has to be wary of that.

Before this series, I thought we gonna lose again against Braves, as always. But it won't. I hope this would be the momentum.

Gotta follow up strong or it means nothing. Gotta win convincingly in DC next.
