Seems like when the pitching is on, the offense scores just enough runs (or has that occasional explosion of runs) to win... as soon as the pitching gets shaky, the offense can't compensate for it

Good news is that Jazz won't play tomorrow and Henry will probably get the start, basically allowing the Diamondbacks to sweep the series. 

I completely expect them to pair Avi and Soler with pitching pieces in effort to shed the contracts.

We should all aspire to find someone who loves us as much as Donny loves starting Jon Berti on 1pm end of series games. I can just imagine the smile he has filling out the lineup card

I don't think anyone's gonna take Avi even with pitching pieces. We might just be stuck with him.

High average batters like wendle and dlc give length to the lineup… they keep the line moving and wear down the opposing pitcher…

Nah, we'll give up Meyer and Eder with Avisail for a D- prospect and cash considerations in about a year. 

This team knows the only way to save this season is to acquire impact bats from other teams now, but would they do it ?

The worst part is this is the type of SP Soler and Avi should be stat padding against. They don’t have a shot against good SP who can repeat breaking balls on the outer half. This is a guy they’re supposed to stack XBH’s against and make people think they’re better than they are. 

The fact they’re struggling against this type of SP is a really, really bad sign

Don Mattingly will be managing this team until the season ends. I've given up on waiting for him to get fired and I'm starting to expect to hear that he's signed an extension soon.
