He hasn't been pre all-star game Trevor since...well..the all-star game but he hasn't been worse than a typical 5 starter so I think he can stay up and work through it. marlinsmaniac Posted May 4, 2022 Share Posted May 4, 2022 Trevor is still capable of the same dominant performances we saw last year. He’s just struggling with command because his timing and release point are off. Everything lefties do is funky and sometimes the mechanics get a little haywire. marlins_09 Posted May 4, 2022 Share Posted May 4, 2022 Something is off with Rogers mechanics. His velo has been all over the board this season, even fluctuating to abnormal levels during starts. That points to a mechanical issue. He seems to be spraying the fastball with very little command, and some of his changeups just aren’t competitive. Also, although the slider had a great deal of break to it, guys are putting really good swings on it. It seems to me from the naked eye that he’s guiding it / having to change his arm speed and tipping it. Let him work through it.
