Bret Hart
A terrible base-running ruined the game.
Major-Minor
I don't know. I am kind of enjoying that this is blowing up in Sherman Ng and Donnie's collective faces. Like this team is going no where...no sense in anything but checking in here and there and rooting for individual performances.

I'd like to see at least one fucking division title (or a 3rd World Series appearance) before I die.... This team doesn't have a sense of urgency but I do...

Erick
It’s only a matter of time before there are problems with the team and Hanley Chisholm.

Major-Minor
They really made a terrible team this year...and a good amount of people saw this was happening... Hell I got to think Jeter jumped shipped because he knew this was going to end badly...and losing is bad for his brand. And they've dug their heels in...stay the course...even though they can see the Cthulu in the horizon...we all see it... they want insist it's a mountain and its land. Then moments like Pablo...it's all about every penny...I guess it's good business...just feels like I'm 19 again and working in Eckards and the company is worried about shrink instead of trying to fix actual problems with their failing business. (Leaning deeper into photo labs was not the answer...)

Jazz already dropped that tweet before game 2 this year so I know something is going to happen at some point this season if this shit continues - I don't think it'll be as serious as requesting a trade but Don just....never defends his people either. I know he's supposedly this great "player" manager so maybe he provides hookers and blow after every game or something that we're never privy to in the clubhouse - he certainly never seems to stick up for his guys in game other than an occasional "aww shucks ump c'mon". Then again, our GM seems pretty checked out too tbh so maybe it's just how they like to operate. Depress the results and we'll never have to build a true contender! hovertical
one more thing...if Kim DOES do the right thing and let Don go...we also know it'll be when the team is 15-20 under .500 and after the deadline. She literally does not have any sense on how to be proactive and respond. Everything is LETS BE PATIENT, THERE'S ALWAYS NEXT YEAR!
r5812
I am not worried. There is always next cheap ownership group.
SilverBullet
Don't wanna defend Donnie but didn't Jazz get that injury running the bases and not in that at bat? Maybe they already checked on him and in that clip it was like alright we get it already just bat.

Just a thought because it does feel like there is a more unified core of players post Loria. Get Donnie out and they can push forward. He’s just faking another injury because he loves attention.

Lol he beat out a ground ball in the 9th like he was perfectly healthy, ran from 1st to 3rd and looked completely fine. Just like the other night when he had a tremendous night and it looked like he had Covid. He’s back in the lineup today. If he’s actually hurt, it’s clearly not as serious as he’s making it look. The guy does anything for attention. We only like him because he plays for the Marlins.
Erick
If you criticize Acuña and like Jazz, it’s kind of hypocritical. Their antics on the field are the same. Talented players who love attention. Only difference, I guess, is that Acuña is the better player. Mattingly should probably go out and check on him when it looks like there’s something wrong, but there’s a reason why the entire team looks like they don’t give a shit when Jazz has his Kirk Gibson moments. The main difference is Acuna tries to start problems with other teams. Jazz hasn't done that as of yet. Yes, they both love attention, that's fine. Jazz doesn't throw a fit whenever someone throws inside to him. ... probably cause Jazz can actually hit inside pitches. 🤷♂️ Anyways, we can come back to this comparison if Jazz ever gets a pitcher ejected for throwing inside.
