I imagine you'd have the base mlb.tv and then the ability to add in market as an add on for probably 99.99 for the season.

The pricing right now, we’ll at the end of May is $25 a month for all teams games, or they have an option to pay for the whole year. They also have a single team option, which I chose for the Marlins since I’m not currently living in Florida. And since part of the season already has been played, I paid $60 for the rest of the year starting from I think it was around May 20 or so that I signed up. Of course for the full season of a single team it’s more like around $100-$120 I believe for the year. So $60 for over 4 months of Marlins games wasn’t a bad deal. June 1, 20233 yr MLB.tv is more for a fan who is an out of market team. So like all those atrocious Mets fans down in Miami can watch the Mets from Miami. But it's awful for your local teams. Once they get rid of the blackout restrictions then it just becomes a streaming service for all of MLB and maybe that's exactly what it should eventually be.

It was created because if you could watch a team on TV it would stop people from going to the games. I don't think anyone is making their decision of attending a game based on whether or not they can see it on TV anymore.

The court ruled in Major League Baseball’s favor on yesterday’s hearing regarding Diamond’s efforts to restructure a number of its local broadcasting deals. The broadcasting conglomerate has temporarily been paying reduced rights fees (75%, according to Alden González of ESPN) to the Twins, Guardians, Diamondbacks, Reds and Rangers since filing for bankruptcy two and a half months ago. Diamond had sought a ruling that’d require the team to renegotiate their broadcasting contracts to more accurately align with the current market value of broadcasting rights — which has dropped sharply in recent years due to the rise of cord-cutting, contributing to Diamond’s bankruptcy filing. That argument wasn’t persuasive to the court, which concluded that a change in the market “doesn’t mean the contract price is clearly unreasonable” (relayed by Evan Drellich of the Athletic). As a result, Diamond is now responsible for backpay to the five organizations it had been paying the reduced rate. According to González, the court hasn’t yet set the deadline for those payments. If Diamond fails to meet its responsibilities by whatever dates are ultimately chosen, MLB would have the ability to reclaim the broadcasting rights for those clubs from the Bally networks.
