Larry Malloy No confirmed update but the theory is that he is in extended spring training in Jupiter currently. MILB.com shows him assigned to AAA Jacksonville.

If he was, he be starting somewhere. I still prefer him to Wendle and Berti though.
April 10, 20233 yr Author I think anyone who has over 3,500 major league at bats with a .279 average can easily be considered an excellent hitter. Makes good contact, not many strikeouts, good speed. Maybe not a great hitter, but very, very good and a whole lot better than quite a few current starting shortstops.

Defensively he'd solve a large chunk of our infield situation right now, if not all of it. Berti/Wendle at third, Jean at second, Arraez at first, and Cooper DHing - sounds good to me.
