June 30, 20233 yr He wasn't named a starter in the All Star Game. The game isn't until July 11th and it would be very weird if they waited for the game itself to begin to name the starters.

June 30, 20233 yr I don't watch the ASG before because Marlins always had bad season so maybe I would watch this year.

The Marlins having bad seasons has no relation to the All Star Game. For me it’s always been a fun part of the season for the last 24 years or so. My favorite part has always been the Home Run Derby, ever since I saw McGwire hit all those home runs over the Green Monster in 1999 HRD, I’ve been hooked. 😂 But yeah, the ASG It’s just a largely meaningless (Does the winner still get home field advantage in the World Series?) spectacle and chance to see all the best players together on one team for a day. Think of it like “imagine how cool it would be if Arraez and Freddy Freeman could play side by side at 1B and 2B? Well for about 3 innings you can see that thought come true. 😂

I honestly haven't watched the all star game in....6-7 years or so.....I didn't even watch the one at Marlins Park in '17 (I did watch the HRD). Honestly, since the game doesn't matter, it's just a meh game for me.......same goes for once the Marlins are out (usually in the regular season), I don't bother watching any playoff games. And that applies to other sports too.....I don't like watching sports just to watch sports. I watch my teams and that's it.
July 1, 20233 yr It's not must see for me but I still enjoy the ASG and Derby moreso cuz it reminds me of my youth when it was a bigger deal to me. So it's kind of a tradition thing for me. I think it's still a cool spectacle. It was never really supposed to mean anything other than a once a year showcase so I have no problem with the game being meaningless.
