Are boneless wings just chicken nuggets?

Nope.

Chicken nuggets are flat oval shaped abominations made from undesirable scraps of meat, cartilage, skin, fat and other stuff all blended up and processed into that shape and breaded and fried.

Boneless Chicken Wings in almost all cases tend to be chicken breast meat cut into chunks and battered and fried and tossed in a sauce.

It’s like comparing a cheap store brand hotdog with a real Bratwurst or Johnsonville* sausage link. They may look similar but definitely NOT the same thing at all.

That said, I am not a big fan of chicken wings for the same reason I'm not a fan of crab - too much work for a few bites of food, if that.

Give me the boneless "wings" anyday.  Why sit there and make a mess to get 2 bites of chicken when I can just have the tender - tossed in the same sauces - where I can eat the whole thing without having to work around bones.

Yep one of the reasons I also prefer boneless wings. Wing connoisseurs mock them, but whatever.

Who cares about wing connoisseurs - if anything I'm leaving more wings for them by eating the "fake" wings.  Give me more food and convenience of boneless anyday.

Boneless wings shouldn't be called wings. I understand how that happened... wing places saying they offer a boneless option so they call it a boneless version of their wings. That works for marketing.

But if I say I want to eat wings don't fucking ask me if I want boneless or bone in, wings have bones in them. It's also not the same type of meat so it's not even close to the same.

If I wanna eat chunks of chicken breast then I'll ask for tenders or strips or popcorn chicken or even "nuggets" if it's a place that calls their chunks nuggets.

The drumsticks are the way to go.

I think y'all just don't know how to properly (and efficiently) disassemble crab legs and chicken wings.

As long as the crab legs aren't old AF the meat pops right out when you crack at the right spots.

Chicken wings pretty easy to slide the meat right off the bone too.

Don't get me wrong: I love wings and I know how to disassemble them. I just like drumsticks better because they have more meat and they are easier to eat.

My wife prefers the drums but I prefer the wings because the meat gets stuck iny teeth for some reason when I have the drums but not the wings. I find the meat amount to be about the same though.

I will not touch a full size chicken drum like from a fried chicken joint though. Them things be nasty.

Yeah it does. The shitty ones are usually at Chinese buffets. Don't bother with those crab legs. A good one is easy to get the meat from though I only had those like 1 or 2 times in my life. Kinda expensive.

I usually have a good experience at a place out here called Angry Crab and when I lived back east I usually had good luck at Joe's Crab Shack (I think that's what it was called).

They're both the boil-in-bag type places but quality has always been there for me in terms of easy to remove meat. You don't even need to use the pickers they give you or the crackers if they're done right and fresh(er)
