So would Hampson 99 times out of 100.  Errors happen.   Hampson isn't very good but he can make a routine play.  Team is just exhausted.

Hampson made a bad throw, sure.

 

Berti made a mistake on that play, too, however, that could have resulted in a very simple flip for an out.

 

Berti went to try and field the ball instead of covering second. He does not have good baseball sense out there. Not the first time he's done this, either.
