Bendix came here with a mandate to build his own operation his way which means completely turning over the Ng built roster, building a best in class data/analytics function, trading for 18 year olds with 5-tool potential, signing good intl guys (again 16-17 year olds),and getting high draft picks by purposefully tanking through 2026. All the trades and evidence point to this team not being competitive until maybe 2028 and that’s intentional.

Gutting salary (Luzardo trade most recently) has also been a key part of this to keep Bruce’s profit as high as possible.

If it's really the case then we Marlins fans need to file grievance to Manfred and Tony Clark. I know this team may not compete with the players added but I just want them to spend that fucking money because it's just their fucking responsibility.

To me it’s just slightly cringy. I mean I get what they are trying to do and connect with the local fan base and large Hispanic community in South Florida. However.. I can’t speak for anyone else but I would imagine that like probably least 90 out of 100 local people in the community of Hispanic origin probably don’t care one bit about it being called Béisbol instead baseball. 😂 just seems cringey to me like the marketing team thought if they connect with people and speak in their language it will bring them to the park. 😂

But surprise.. turns out even doing that won’t bring locals to the park to spend $150+ for their whole family to watch the Marlins lose 8-1 to the Nats and be 15 games under .500 in mid July. 😂

The blueprint for success is the Panthers right in front of Bruce. They’ve spent and built a good roster. Bruce just dumps everyone for whoever is cheaper. Excessive pandering does nothing.
