This is what I don't understand - if you're going to do this BS 857th rebuild, why are we not signing people to trade at the deadline for prospects to speed this process up?

Probably because that means spending on signing those people, and it also means more people to pay later.

They not spend XXX millions in the A type players so it's not acceptable to not spend XX millions in the B type players and X millions in the C type players.

You gotta think absolutely no FA would want come here anyway at this point. Team intentionally trying lose 100 games + trading all big league talent basically as soon as close to arb. This team would be basically be a last resort for FAs right now or a significant overpay

Apparently we traded Jhonny Pereda to the Athletics for cash. Bruce needs all he can get.

Somehow 192 people voted for the Marlins to win the NL East on an MLBTR poll....

I’m going to guess Corbin because hit FIP wasn’t as bad his era and it’s a $6m or under contract. Will be about as successful as daddy dix master class signing of Tim Anderson

Looks like Rob Brantley, but "good" back then is very questionable.

Welcome back Rob Brantly! Wait, he's playing not coaching? Maybe he can be a mentor-type for Agustin and Mack.

As for the vet pitcher: Heaney, Disco, Urena, and Cueto all out there waiting for the phone call. If somehow we can coax Volstad out of retirement there is your August post-Sandy trade rotation right there.

So I just realized I misread the poll, and it's perhaps even worse......those people (now up to 210 people at the time of this post) voted that the Marlins won the offseason.....by doing literally nothing........morons.

At least you could make an argument that flukey things happen in season, and somehow if everything went right for the Marlins and everything went wrong for the other 4 teams, maybe they could win the division.....but to vote that they won the offseason......bahahaha.

I laughed when i saw we signed Brantly.

Like WTF....you can't even make this stuff up anymore. It's disgraceful.
