How about add a veteran bat.

Bruce can't afford any bats.

bragging about how big their FO team is is certainly one way to spin things. Also, Sandy is as good as gone if this is any clue so enjoy our last few months with him.

Bragging about doing most trades because they gutted entire mlb roster for guys who won’t have a chance at mlb until 3-4 years from now also interesting

I’ve accepted what the team is doing and I do believe in Bendix, but the way they spin this shit and obfuscate the truth is so obnoxious and condescending

You're just not smart enough to understand their plan!!!

It’s a good plan I like the plan, I love the drive line hires and the focus on player development. I’ve also accepted this team is uncompetitive until 2028 but pretending otherwise and treating what few fans are left like idiots isn’t the way.

This is just hilarious.

All they have to tout is "biggest front office", more money in player development......"everyone wants you to sign every free agent....we've signed free agents....we've signed multiple minor league free agents".

It's the same "sustainability" BS they'll continue to peddle while Bruce cashes the revenue sharing checks with zero intention of doing much of anything.

I want to believe in the path, and I do understand that they have to stay publicly positive about things, but them pretending everything is all unicorns and roses is dumb. And anyone that legitimately pays attention knows it's another rinse and repeat story......maybe this time it'll turn out differently, but they've reached boy who cried wolf status for me.

Truly ridiculous Bruce hyping up the milb free agent signings.

Short term pain long term sustainability and success. Let's enjoy watching these kids grow up and develop as baseball players

We are putting the infrastructure in place. Nowhere to go but up. Trust the process and all that bs.

Except those are the same lines they peddled when they came in as new ownership, and yet here we are again 6-7 years later? Why should we believe it's different this time? Bruce always claimed he'll "spend when it's time" - they made the playoffs twice and didn't spend anything the years after - if anything they reduced it.
I don't believe a word they say anymore until they actually do it - they've lost all benefit of the doubt that they had in my book.

It turned out that Jeter was one of the worst talent evaluators and organization builders of all time.

We don't have to worry about Jeter anymore. But this is why we're re-re-re-re-rebuilding.

Will Daddy Dix be successful? Maybe, maybe not. But I'm trusting him more than Jeter.

Not to mention all the vibes on the team now
