Miami Marlins. Time will tell who has built themselves a club durable enough for a long postseason run, but in the meantime, let’s take a look at how the new-look teams stack up to begin the stretch run.I guess at least they bumped us up to #19 from 23….
August 4, 20251 yr There may be detractors about the Marlins chances considering we have a -40 run differential. One thing I would like to note, The Marlins have a +53 run differential since June 13 and we are 30-14 in that stretch. The +1.20 run differential per game would be the best in the Majors right now for the full season. Also, in the first 22 games of the 44 game stretch the run differential was +22 or +1.0 per game. So it has only gotten better, not worse.Not sure how many games a team would have to remain playing this well before you would consider it real vs more of a fluke, but 44 games does to me feal like an awfuly large sample size to be a fluke.
