Whatever, Diamondbacks are losing anyway. Doesn't matter which crap pitcher is crap whatever or crap the other thing
-
Downvote? I mean I know they're cheaters and whatever, but we have the tiebreaker on the Diamondbacks, so Marlins win tomorrow needs just one Diamondbacks loss to keep us from having to go to New York but still get the fifth seed
-
Let's just count the League's Cup and move along 😉

Go Astros!

He stung that one, we're lucky that wasn't a home run
-
All of this high leverage late season baseball ignores the fact that we're only in this situation because of our totally crappy post All-Star break swoon

No it's a kinky sex thing
-
That game stinks

Nice win today. Cubs are trailing. Love to have this shit settled by tomorrow so we don't need the Mets game.

Still applies

I like that the Marlins elimination number is larger than the number of remaining games left for the Cubs. Leaves us in control of our Fate

I never used to like smooth jazz

I figured people should be at least happy about Segura going because of all the noise on here

This bullpen is struggling
-
At least Cueto looked good
-
He hit the shit out of that
-
Well we know where all the runs from the Braves series went
-
Contextually, yes. Baseball is a game with many variables. And the team in the first week of the season isn't the same as what we're. Cueto and Rogers are on the IL, so a large portion of the rotation is different. All by itself, that changes the largest impact upon RA by a significant amount.

I've been a sabrmetric guy for a long time, but run differential is something to look at for a short-term period, like babip, or line drive %. If a team or player consistently outperforms an indicator, then there is another element in play. On May 1 we might have thought there was significant over performance, since May 1, not so much.
