I Have seen him make some good plays, but i wasnt really into baseball in the mid 90's, I only watched the Marlins at that time....

January 31, 200422 yr nomar sucks defensively? Wow....when did sucky SS's make it in the MLB. Hey may not be as good as Sea-Bass, A-rod, etc., but "sucks"? This guy who played little league with me, who's dad was the manager, and therefore got to play SS...now he sucked

Well, he didn't say Nomar is a better fielding shortstop, he said he hasn't seen anyone make plays like Alex, except for Nomar, who does make some spectacular plays. I mean, he makes boneheaded ones too, but he has a flare for the flashy stuff. And he doesn't suck. It's not one of his stronger points, but he's certainly not the worst in the league. My spring training surprise is Darren Oliver. As in he'll be surprised when he's in Albuquerque.
