World Series Champs anyone?

Talk about close minded people.OMG@@!!How can any one have doubts about big Choi?

what a thought!

:notworthy

Choi will get a better chance at starting than Nunez because we got Choi in a trade for Lee. We traded a very good (not great, Berardino) player to get Choi, and if he isn't starting, how's that gonna make us look? IMO, he's the starter no matter what this spring, and Abe has to play (and play good) to make the team.

There's more reason to doubt Abraham Nunez than Hee Seop Choi.

If Choi goes 3 for 4 tomorrow do we see a Choi for MVP thread?

Exactly what I'm afraid of is going to happen no matter what....

My main argument..

If he earns it then by all means start Choi but not just handed to him because FO traded away Lee for him.

If Choi goes 3 for 4 tomorrow do we see a Coi for MVP thread?

yes

you do know that spring stats mean nothing right?

Yes/No

It means nothing when it come to proven players but in Choi case it means alot since he is unproven player just like Nunez.Young unproven players need to perform in order to make the roster.Choi hasn't done anything to warrant him a starting spot.

HOW?!?!? Blind squirrel...nut.

Damn squirrels

If his leg troubles are behind him

AND

Choi has a rough time

AND

Nunez looks good off the bench, then

MAYBE

He will start in RF at some point this year.

funny how ppl jump off topic to be sarcastic to prove a point.. its only ST yea but its just like the preseason in football. The unproven players have to come in and win the job and show wut they can do.yea its only 4 ST games and 12 ABs but who cares. we wouldnt be worried if it were bonds who has proven himself and a 12 AB slump is not a big deal. But when u are talking about a player who has done nothing in his 2 seasons and we are all going on hype then yes you do worry.Choi has proven nothing at any level in any year at anytime. Hes just a player hyped up by scouts in the past and has done nothing since. So dont say ST dont matter cuz for unproven players it sure damn does.

isnt this Choi's 2nd year?

and he didnt exactly have 600abs last year

and what do you mean by "Choi has proven nothing at any level in any year at anytime."

he was pretty damn good in the minors my man

and he has 252 at bats in the majors..... give him a break

Why would you start Nunez over Cordero? One look at Cordero's MLB numbers vs Nunez' minor league stats would indicate Cordero is the first guy off the bench not the rook.

Nunez has clearly matured but while his HRs yesterday looked good on paper, no one seems to want to mention he struck out twice in the morning intrasquad game. He needs alot of work to be MLB ready. Historically he's been a streak hitter who, when cold, you wouldn't trade for a three day old flounder from Winn-Dixie. In his defense he looks like a different guy than a year ago, perhaps this is his time, but Jack isn't the kind of guy who makes emotional decisions, Nunez is going to have to earn his spot on the roster.

Nunez is only 2 for 8 (.250 BA). Relax guys. We know he has power. Power in which we will need off our BENCH. Choi is good defensivly and give him sometime. My prediction...Choi sucks all Spring Training, then on Opening day he belts 2 HR.
