Wouldn't mind drafting this kid
I coached this kid in the summer on Team USA Miami, he is the real deal, a little hard headed but in the end he listens.... Who ever gets this kid in the draft is going to be very happy... Has speed, power, and knows were to be to make the big plays.... Knowing the Marlins though they wont draft him if they had the chance cause they wont wanna pay...

A Rod back in pinstripes after all?
Cashman is a fag. He said the Yanks wouldn't pursue A-Rod if he opted out of his contract, and now they're about to sign him again to a bigger contract. A-Rod has the Yankees looking like his Bitch. Dude its the other way around... Arod is right now kissing Yankee ass...

Even though Arod may re-sign
Even as the Yankees press ahead in their talks to bring third baseman Alex Rodriguez back into the fold, free agent Mike Lowell remains a point of interest. Ron Vesely/MLB Photos via Getty Images Mike Lowell was drafted by the Yankees and broke into the majors with New York. Now the club is interested in bringing him full-circle. If anything, the Yankees are now coming at Lowell from another angle ... or corner. According to reports in the New York Post and Star Ledger of Newark, the Yankees are talking with Lowell, Boston's third baseman the last two seasons, about moving from third to first. "All I can say at this time is that the Yankees have engaged us," one of Lowell's agents, Seth Levinson, told the Post. Red Sox general manager Theo Epstein put a new contract for the World Series MVP on the table last week, a three-year offer reportedly worth in the $35 million to $45 million range. Where the Red Sox were the only team that could negotiate with Lowell through midnight on Monday, others now can make offers. It's not known if the Yankees and Lowell's agents have advanced beyond the discussion phase. Lowell followed a superlative regular season -- career highs in batting average (.324) and RBIs (120) to go with 21 home runs in 154 games -- with an outstanding October. In Boston's four-game sweep of Colorado, Lowell hit .400 (6-for-15) with four RBIs, three walks and a team-high six runs in winning He homered, doubled and scored twice in the Game 4 clincher at Denver's Coors Field. Lowell, who made $9 million last year, was selected by the Yankees in the 20th round of the 1995 amateur draft. He played eight games for New York in the 1998 season before being dealt to the Florida Marlins in February 1999. He was acquired by Boston from Florida in November 1995 in the Josh Beckett trade. It is likely that Jason Giambi will play out the final season of his Yankees contract as the team's designated hitter. First baseman Andy Phillips is returning in 2008, but Lowell, who turns 34 in February, is known for excellent defense.

Mike Lowell a Philly?
Mike Lowell should stay in Boston, he's gonna suck anywere else.... Yes, going to that extreme pitchers park in Philly would certainly negatively affect his numbers. Yea but those doubles he hit off the wall in Boston are gonna die on the warning track in Philly...

Ricky Williams
They should get Ricky in the games as soon as possible. Let him get some playing time under his belt and get back into the swing of things. Who knows what Ronnie Brown's status will be next year. If Ricky can come in and regain his old form he represents a very low risk insurance policy. :thumbup

Season Ticket Holders...
I renewed back in September before the season had even ended. Did the five-installments thing for my two seats out in 126... As far as waiting to see what happens with the team before renewing - can you possibly feed into the Miami-fan stereotype any more?! The Marlins have been my team since 1993 when I was 8 years old. I've laughed with them, cried with them, celebrated with them and have been heart-broken by them, but I'm still here and I will continue to be here. Miguel Cabrera is not the Florida Marlins. Dontrelle Willis is not the Florida Marlins. Sure I love having those guys on my team, but my team is the Florida Marlins and I'm going to go out there and support them whether we win or lose or whether we have a great team, a good team or a sorry excuse for a team. When I say "Go Marlins!" I don't mean, "Go Marlins - but only if we have the players that I want to have on the team!" Regardless of how cheap Loria may be, the stadium deal still has a lot to do with who the team can pay and who they unfortunately have to deal away. That's life. That's baseball in 2007... It's precisely because most fans in Miami don't give a damn unless the team is winning that payroll has to be kept manageable. Maybe if the Marlins saw that they have fans who will stick with them through thick and thin they'd be willing to stretch some contracts and keep some players. Go renew your tickets and show your team that you're not just another typical Miami fan... Be a FAN, not an investor. That wasn beautiful, i almost shed a tear... But yea this team has not showed me loyalty so why should i...they have screwed with us so many times, played with our hearts and lyed to our faces... that's why i'm not renewing my tickets until i see some sh*t done around here... Loria is sitting back having pina colada's collecting money for nothing, if he cared about you and me we would have had a stadium by now instead of filling up his piggy bank.... Your seeing right now, how they hell could u let a guy like Cabrera get away, players like this dont come around to often, specially around here... stop being a cheapass and keep Cabrera show us that u care a little to try to keep us around... till then F*uck you....

Marlins will seek lower-cost free agents
Catchers are hard to find cause the ones who would make good catcher want to play other positions... We've has trouble the last couple of years at my H.S. getting kids to try out at that position, 12-13 years ago i remember at my H.S. tryouts there being 20-30 guys going out for that position and now at Ferguson only 5-6 guys have come out for catcher... And the guys i ask that i know would make good ones dont wanna play back there cause they dont wanna take the beating and also cause they say they dont make the flashy plays... Kids....
