Sandy Got Boo'd - Fans Upset - Why?
Booing him is ridiculous because he’s good. Booing Segura and Garcia is fine because they’re bad. It’s pretty simple.

June 4 post game sweep 4 over 500
That’s a good line tho with +++ defense. Without doing a bit of research I’d imagine his lefty splits are great

June 4 post game sweep 4 over 500
Is there anyone on this As team worth stealing at the deadline as a depth piece? They have to be willing to give everyone away. We should call about Bleday.

ESPN Early Trade Deadline piece
Nice summary. Why do we have a comp A pick?

Do you still get comp picks for having top tier FAs sign elsewhere?

Marlins injured or Rehabbing Players Updates - June 2nd 2023 Edition
Sixto “progressing” 😂 Remember when I was laughed at for saying he’ll never pitch again before the season? The power of BMI analysis

ESPN Early Trade Deadline piece
If you can’t reasonably extend him then trade him for high end prospects. We’re not good enough and our farm isn’t deep enough to let valuable pieces walk in FA. We could still sneak in if one of the guys we get back produces right away, and it’s not like Soler couldn’t go on a massive cold streak after the trade deadline.

4/15 Post Game
Dbacks starting staff looks really weak. Carrol for Eury sounds fair.

Sixto Sanchez to pitch in an extended Spring Training game tomorrow 4/15
97 foot long toss is better than expected

4/11 Post Game - ARRAEZ CYCLE!
Maybe berry comes up next year and cappe the year after and they play well. Still have some pitching depth behind Eury (although not a lot if Cabrera and Rodgers don’t improve) to make some trades for hitters. Soler will be off the books soon. Garcia will thankfully ride the bench until he can be offloaded if he sucks the first half of this year. They need to hit on some reclamation projects or no name prospects however

Cool game

Extend Cooper or not
I’d throw him a 2 year $5 mil contract or something like that. He’s not gonna get you anything in a trade and it’s not a big investment. 33 years old, injury prone, below average power for a 1B/DH, below average defense. He’s not getting a big deal but he’s still an ok middle of the lineup option for the Marlins specifically.

Jazz injured again.
Needs to wear a tighter helmet

3/30 Post Game
I don’t feel like starting a new thread: Was Puk tipping his pitches? Strikes out Lindor, Lindor starts whispering to Alonso before his AB, then Alonso hits a HR on the first pitch. Suspect.

Yuli Gurriel SIGNS with Marlins
My wife and I have a cumulative limit on our weight, so if we’re up against the limit and one person gains 1 lb then the other person has to lose at least 1 lb before our official weigh in. This is how you keep your wife’s weight in check without being so direct. Tricks of the trade.

Sixto Not Expected to Pitch Until Midseason
I understand the limitations of BMI. Point stands that he didn’t take care of himself after his injury which made the rehab process take much longer. Added 46 lbs of excess body weight as well. This all coming from a guy who the Phillies were already skeptical of due to his lack of work ethic. He vindicated their fears and now has to deal with a shoulder injury and years of downtime as a power pitcher. Am I supposed to believe he’ll be hitting 99-100 ever again? I doubt it.
