EXACTLY. pinch hit triple. you do realize this thread is titled "dontrelle willis needs more at bats." with a poll of "should dontrelle be a primary focus in the offense?" it's not.. do i realize he has pinched hit some times earlier in the season. i know that. it needs to stay that way. he needs to KEEP pinch hitting.

i tried to be as factual as possible.

what is this place made out of psychologists? you really think letting him bat an extra one time per game is going to completely dismantle his pitching game? or throw him off? or totally screw up his train of thought that he'll just lose it on the mound? let him contribute as many ways as he can! you people are all saying "no", somehow the voting is 10-4.

the kid can hit.. why not let him hit. some people don't get it. and he was hitting .310 going into yesterday's game. (on the season) i don't think letting him bat an extra one time a game is really going to throw him off of his pitching game. he needs to concentrate more on pitching? so he can't bat.. ONCE a game when he's not pitching?.. c'mon!

of course he's my favorite player.. but i really think he needs to be a part of this marlins offense more often! did anyone else get excited when he came in to pinch hit in the fifth inning of the pirates game today when they were only down 3-0? i never saw that coming, but i did appreciate it! i think kip wells got the crap scared out of him. 4-0. walk.. then jp.. then mackowiak just likes to ruin everything! but besides that. he's a great athlete, and i think he needs to be more involved in the offense.. and maybe that'll even motivate him to pitch better. he's still batting .310 for a pitcher, and for this late in the season, that's pretty darn good. though i doubt he'll field any position.. he should come in to at least pinch hit more often..

well it's not every day kip wells nearly pitches a shut out.. c'mon. offense needs to back up the pitching staff. they can't be flawless all year round.
