His brother is making his debut tonight in single A. His brother is 16.

Marlins Exploring Trades for C and SS
Anderson's OPS has been on a steep decline for the last 4 years and he's turning 30. Hard pass for me. Promote Amaya who is solid defensively and is maturing at the plate. Grandal has negative trade value so we shouldn't have to give up much, if anything, for him if he is a half-season rental. The problem is the front office is not going to give up on Stallings, I fear. My preference would be taking a flyer on Joey Bart as the Giants have two other C's they prefer and he's expendable or the guy I mentioned from PIT whose name escapes me right now. But again, I don't think they are going to get rid of Stallings so it's a moot point.

Nic Enright Designated for Assignment
Just based off his numbers he is better than Hoeing and both are the same age. He's miles better Brazoban who probably won't be on the team in a couple months. Disappointing but maybe they saw something they didn't like. Feel like a guy with consistent sub 1.0 WHIP and double-digit K/9 numbers should at least get a chance. Also, he's weirdly listed as a pitcher, LF, and RF even though he has a total of 1 summer league at bat. Based on that at bat though he's a better hitter than Stallings and Segura.

Not everyone. Some. Sorry I was being a dick this morning, spending an hour in chat with horrific customer service from an unnamed company. Let my frustrations boil over. I still don't want Anderson or Grandal though and hope Jacob Amaya is a unanimous hall of fame first ballot inductee. Or at least bats better than Wendle's .173.

Agree with you. My apologies. Think my frustrations are more with the front office and repeatedly doing the same thing over and over again. It's kind of like the old saying "insanity is doing the same thing over and over again". Every time we sign a Chen or Avi, we beat our head against the wall and hit the reset button again thus why we all have that Marlin fanbase cynicism.

The ones that are clamoring for a declining Tim Anderson and for godsakes a 34 year old shopworn catcher named Grandal. I respect anyone who is a Marlin fan through thick and thicker, but jeez educate yourselves.

Marlins Exploring Trades for C and SS
All of you guys and your obsession with 30+ year old guys who are declining are the reasons why we don't succeed. Everyone cried when we traded Starling Marte for Jesus Luzardo. Do you really think Marte is going to go Barry Bonds into the future. You don't get better getting older. Look at where our problems lie right now: Stallings, embarrassing. Wendle, nice utility guy if you don't have the exact same guy in Berti. Segura, totally shocking he sucks. Avisail Garcia, hey let's sign a questionably inconsistent guy on the downside of his career. Stop signing guys over 30 who are declining and ending their careers. Stop trading for them. Like it or not the Byron "Cheerios" of the world and Groshans/Amayas/Cappes of the world are the way to win and create a dynasty. Get younger, get your lottery tickets, and if even one of 5 succeeds you are in a much better position. Quick name a pitcher not named Okert over 30 who is worth a poo. Hint, the name is not Brazoban. It's not rocket science folks.

I don't think you are right and I don't think it matters because we have our shortstop in Jacob Amaya. It's time.

Jacob Berry.

Jacob Amaya - Finally Being Called Up [6/17 Update]
Last night, Amaya went 4 for 4 with 2 HRs and 7 (SEVEN) RBIs. He also walked twice. Raised his average close to .300 for the year and batting close to .400 for the month. In other news, Kevin Berry (Bury) went 0-5 with 5 K's. Is that called a platinum sombrero?

Jacob Amaya - Finally Being Called Up [6/17 Update]
Didn't see this post. Agree it's Amaya time. He was tearing it up and just returned from an injury (HPB). He has good plate discipline and is young. Miles better than anything we have right now.

Id take a flyer on Joey Bart for catcher. Giants have two young guys they like better and he's probably not in their long term plan any more. Pirates have a guy I mentioned, name escapes me, who's path is pretty blocked to play.

What is wrong with calling up Jacob Amaya? He's been hitting .345 at AAA the past month and looks perfectly capable. He's young and we traded our last SS for him and is a legit prospect. Has some pop in his bat and gets hits. He's potentially miles better than anyone we have at the ML level.

Brazoban
Guy is terrible and that fake hot start fooled some into believing he's a major leaguer. He's actually an older version of Jefry Yan. Not counting today, in the last two weeks his ERA is 13.50, his WHIP is 3.00 and opponents are hitting .476 against him. Incredibly he was even worse today. It's madness that he is still in the majors.

Jonathan Davis acquired for Brady Allen
OH yeah, found Alex Jackson playing in Nashville as well. Shockingly, he's batting .160. Which is still better than Stallings, lol.

Jonathan Davis acquired for Brady Allen
BTW Monte Harrison is playing for Nashville as well and, well, he's still not very good.

Jonathan Davis acquired for Brady Allen
I had to look up the backup 1B for Mil in AAA. It's Keston Hiura who is currently hitting .331 with 12 hrs and 33 rbis. He's struggled a lot in the majors and is currently learning that position. Sadly, he'd be our third best hitter right now. I'm thinking Tanner Allen for Special K maybe throw in a rookie guy that we can make fun of his name too.

5/24 Fish Team at Mountain Team
karl kauffman is as bad as that guy the cubs threw out there that almost killed four batters. i looked up his stats and he has failed his way to the majors. hey let's call up a guy with an 8 era and see how it works out. good to see we can at least hit bad pitching.

5/24 Fish Team at Mountain Team
epic first at bat for jd. its like the hitting version of cueto's debut (and swan song)

i just cant watch this, wendle/stallings/davis at the bottom of the order. embarrassing.

We are beating ourselves with mental errors (and walks). Hampson drop. Eury walks two. Brazoban goes full-retard. Never go full-retard.
-
5/23 at Rockies - 8:40
Two low IQ moments from Brazoban lead to a bloowout. Picks up the bunt going foul. Then makes a pitch clock violation falling behind to allow a bloop single. Pretty sure we are going to see Jonathan Davis soon.
-
5/23 at Rockies - 8:40
Berti, Wendle, and Hampson are pretty interchangeable. Two of 3 on bench would be preferable to two or 3 in the starting lineup. They are a bit redundant so losing one or even two wouldn't hurt too much.

Does anyone who follows the minors know what happened to Jacob Amaya or Pat Monteverde. .Amaya hasn't play in about a week and Monteverde was scheduled to pitch tonight but didnt.

Nothing against Hampson. He would be a value bench piece with his versatility. But agree that he should not be our every day centerfield option.
