wtf was the purpose behind this?

I would guess just a more major league ready backup at CF with Jazz out a while. Neither player seems any good.

not sure i'd define a career .186 guy as major league ready unless his defense is elite?

Well, today I learned the name of two players who will most likely have Zero impact on the Marlins MLB team. Thanks for sharing!

Can't believe they were ok with giving up Brady Allen though. That kid was a lock to be an All Star MLB player. Kim is so dumb.

And he had a great sports name. Named after great Tom Brady and Rod Allen.

Way to make myself feel old. Just saw Brady Allen born in 1999. Sheesh! The same year that Star Wars Episode 1 came to theaters. The crazy thing will be before you know it you will see “the first player born in the 2010s to play in the big leagues.”

Eury Perez was born in 2003, did you miss that?

Dammit, hate this trade only because Allen is a local player and wanted to see someone other that Matt Diaz as a local Marlin, on the plus for Brady he'll be able to spring train in his hometown

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say none of us were present for his birth.

only way this makes sense is if they need this Davis to play CD in AAA because they called up Mangum.  Otherwise, he pretty much sucks.  Brady Allen is not a guy who has shown anything indicating he'll ever contribute.

Of course, maybe they thought they were getting Jonathan Davis of Korn in which case something takes a part of me to say what a great trade!

He will fit right in

Is there a clause in Kim's contract that she's not able to acquire guys that can actually hit?

It's the Mendoza clause - hitters acquired must hit below .200.

She's accomplished that on everyone but Arraez lol
