  1. Hoping that Ohtani was on the list too.
  2. The only thing that isn’t done in different ways is his reponses.
  3. They’re saying that McCullough is the first base coach for the Dodgers but considering how long that organization has been around I highly doubt that he is their first one.
  4. Is Stewart still in the organization?
  5. I feel like I should remember Bell’s music, I remember being in tune with those things in that era of the team, I remember a bunch of their songs but no clue why I can’t remember his. I bet its on my old ipod shuffle from back then!
  6. Not our player anymore
  7. You talking Derek Dietrich and Tino Martinez? Pretty sure it was Tino, the coach, grabbing Dietrich by the throat. The player didn't punch anyone.
  8. Bruh, how random is this thread
  9. Wasn’t John Baker a starter at some point? Also Scott Cousins is an answer there. And Jhon-athan Solano! Some of these questions are so vague and can lead to multiple answers depending on interpretation.
  10. Eh, there’s a bunch of cases of managers who don’t buy into the analytics fully and it creates a disconnect between the manager and FO. If you’re gonna go full analytics these days I do think it’s important to get the right manager for that.
  11. Sounds like their source on this one is accurate. It could change of course but seems like Kapler is actually good at the front office stuff and seems to like the role.
  12. This pretty much sums it up. It was an excellent interview with someone “on the inside”. I wish more could hear it. I felt like it would really shut up so many people who really think nothing is going on behind the scenes to try and win. I liked how he portrayed Kapler and if he’s right then Kapler staying in the front office sounds great to me. Sounds like he has more to offer there than on the field as manager. He spoke so highly of Mike Hill, it made me miss Mike! One of the biggest points was how the previous front offices just had analytics as one tool in the toolbox and that now Bendix is trying to really make analytics the “glue” of the entire plan. Overall it felt like the lasting message is that Bendix IS elevating the organization behind the scenes and this was great to hear from someone who worked under Hill and Kim so I believe his take. Now don’t get me started when he discussed how much money he was making as a baseball analyst compared to the job I do! It’s wild! Good for him but damn I chose the wrong line of work haha
  13. This was a managerial decision to try and get him the most ABs to get that 30th homer.
  14. Yep, this is it.
  15. How far? The people wanna know.
  16. Expressing interest in a specific position doesn't always mean you'll get to do it. This is just one of the reasons why I'm now divorced.
  17. Oh, thanks, really didn't know this. I don't care about other sports that deeply.
  18. "Heartless Marlins put countless cancer research employees out of work"
  19. I still don't understand this. How are there odds for a lottery? Isn't it random and thus the odds are equal? What changes those odds?
  20. They probably didn't "need' to get rid of clubhouse attendants and other non-front office staff but it is what it is... and it's only a story cuz it's the Marlins. To call it a bloodbath, cold blooded, and an administrative failure is ridiculous.
  21. And now they look back and say Jeter knew what he was doing and they can't believe he's not there anymore lmao
