October 4, 20241 yr What are chances of them getting 1st or 2nd pick? @Michael get out your abacus m8
October 4, 20241 yr I still don't understand this. How are there odds for a lottery? Isn't it random and thus the odds are equal? What changes those odds?

The worse you are the more balls you get in the pot. if you are so bad you have been in the odds for this pick for x number of years, your balls are removed. Same way the draft lotteries in other sports work.

Let me see if I can break it down properly. Let's take it as there are 10,000 sheets of paper with team names on them. We have 2,245 of them. The Rockies do, too. If the Rockies get chosen first, then they remove that sheet of paper and the remaining 2,244 sheets of paper that the Rockies have. We still have 2,245 sheets of paper in there out of the remaining 7,755 total, which gives us then a 28.95% chance at the second pick. 22.45% for first pick, 28.95% for second. So about a 51.4% chance at the first OR second pick. I hope that broke it down well enough. ... YOU FUCK.

October 5, 20241 yr I predict some high school pitcher who we won't see for 7 years, or a position player who never pans out.

October 5, 20241 yr I don’t care about MLB drafts. Any player you get won’t be around for at least 3 years. I prefer nba and nfl drafts where if you have a first round pick they will most likely be in your starting lineup and making a difference just a few months later. None of this let’s wait for him to develop for 4 years but then probably trade him by then type of MLB draft. 😂
