1. Mays24Bonds25: What about his WHIPWMOBAOB? I hear Dontrelle Willis' was 4 notches lower than Chris Carpenter's.
2. fishyguy replied to Lefty's topic in Miami Marlins
Does Carpenter, the white guy, get a bonus in votes over Willis, the black pitcher? I personally think no, more large market to small market. He took All star game starter from willis too. I don't think either factored in here but that had nothing to do with race or market size. Tony LaRussa was the manager.
3. ps: Virginia chicks are so f***in hot...but i feel like they'll need a bank statement just to talk to. "ummm...Mommy and Daddy don't allow me to talk to people not in our tax bracket." This from the guy who has mocked a certain minor here more than one time because of his appearance implying he was poor and mocking him for being so. Maybe money isn't the main reason they aren't talking to you.
4. Felo, it's got to be hard to be that blind of a homer of a team that's not even your number one.
5. So Freddi is pretty much out of the running, huh? Not going to lie, I'm a little disappointed in that... You should be named TAssume25. You constantly assume things.
6. With that in mind, Macha, Piniella and Valentine gain a lot of ground, but those guys are out of work for a reason. Macha is out of work because the Athletics pinched pennies and Piniella is out of work because he asked for a buyout after being tired of Devil Ray ownership not adding payroll to the team in the few years he's been there after they promised they would. Valentine makes sense but your line of "out of work for a reason" holds as much merit with the other two as does your continual Lowell steroid and mole insinuations.
7. Wait til Spike sees this. It's right up his alley
8. Some of you are so bias against certain writers you don't even bother to read the articles anymore. Get off your high horse and don't insult Le Batard just for the sake of insulting him. Insinuating he changed what people said just because you have a problem with him is downright wrong as well.
9. He assumes Mike Lowell took steroids and presents it as fact so should not be surpising he did it here too.
10. You'll have to forgive him. He dislikes Mike Lowell proved positively by his constant implications of steroid use by Mike Lowell.
11. You made that page I bet. People too into myspace are weird right "Boog"? By the way what race are you this week? I lost track
12. Isn't the fact that ratings are through the roof show we have a fanbase out there? he''s a biased journalist.. he's not going to put that into his article, in fact he may be too ignorant to even understand it. And you are bias readers because he clearly did say it: There might be more Marlins fans now than ever before ? the team's TV ratings the past three seasons have been steadily rising and, having achieved unprecedented heights this season, constitute the best such span in the franchise's 13-year history ? but they're not coming to the ballpark. The whole point is they aren't going to the ballpark to see a winning team yet people are going to the ballpark to see losing teams in other cities.
13. He compared them to the Pirates, Royals, Devil Rays, Brewers, Tigers, D-Backs, Jays, Reds, and Rockies though too. Can't ignore that. It is amazing that the Marlins are outdrawn by those many teams some of which are lousy. Just looking at the Yankees comparison is not being fair. He used that more as a way to back up his statement of MLB attendance as a whole setting records this year. Fact the facts this article isn't meh. He is right in what he said and it's the truth. The fans that go to the games are good fans but there are not many of them and there should be.
14. Put the Penny tax on Milk so it's topical at least
15. Beinfest better do something this offseason because I cannot watch this team another year. 950730 Ah the sound of a fairweather fan. From the same person who has quit in the early innings of many games this season.
16. A lot of the people who are quitting now are the ones who quit in June or July whenever it was. Not shocking
17. Ok TSwift we know you think Lowell took steroids. This is only the 500th time you have said it. I think you slandered the man enough at this point
18. Yep. On the back of the remaining pieces of the 2002-03 Expos teams that competed for the Wild Card and the 2004 team that had a .500 record after finishing their San Juan dates. http://www.baseballprospectus.com/article.php?articleid=4390 935194 And those teams had an all-star quality Jose Vidro and another small piece named...Vladimir Guerrero, neither of those are there anymore. Plus: Javier Vasquez isnt there anymore. Orlando Cabrera isnt there anymore. Tomo Ohka isnt there anymore. Bartolo Colon isnt there anymore. So id say, not many chips remained for Bowden to play with. Those teams were four games over .500 for two of the past 8 years, they have hardly been a contending team and if you want to paint that picture, you are a fool. We already know you dont like Washington, just stop spewing baseless claims to fulfill your own personal Bowden Hate quota. 935222 I wasn't aware Vazquez, Guerrero, and Colon were there in 2004. Thanks for the info. You might want to do a little research before calling others fools 935226 Read the first part he said on the backs of the 2002 and 2003 Expos. Good call buddy. And if you want to call the '04 Expos something great to build on then yes you are a fool, that team had 68 wins. 935230 The team had no home which gives validity to his comment about the post san juan record "buddy"

20. Where would we be without Juan this year? Last place? 928952 According to you, seems like better off
21. Don't criticise donations. Regardless of the percentage given, $1000 could very well save some lives. 927641 criticising no, i think it should be appreciated but with guys that make as much money as they do, i think its a little small. 927654 How much have you donated? 927705 Usually people who put down other donations as small donated nothing themselves
22. Lowell has been swinging the bat a little better as of late (3 for 9) 926602 OMG no comment. 926606 Not stating my opinion either way but do you think you can really object to his posting when you declaed that Hermida could hit anyone after just 1 AB?
23. fishyguy replied to TSwift25's topic in Miami Marlins
Link Vargas will not be lit up ever. thumbup.gif --- WildMarlinMan2003 What happened last night had to be our imagination
24. I hope Hermida goes out and gets laid tonight. He deserves it with an off day tomorrow! 924797 The way you were on his sack tonight in the game thread even going as far as to say he can hit anyone maybe you should offer yourself up for those services
