Im thinking that Lenny Harris will be back

Slammin Sammy?
WOW! People talkin crap about Sosa are morons. I really hate when you guys play off each other and try to act like you know what the f*ck you are talking about. He was a great player, and he's in his twilight now. Jesus christ, do not disregard this man's history. Just....WOW I did not even mention mentoring in the form of attitude and behavior. This man's accolades are enough to make the young players respect him. He was good, and I dont think anyone is trying to discredit what he has done for Major League Baseball. However, you said it yourself...he is in the twilight of his career and realistically has nothing to offer a team in our situation.

Jayson Stark: up to 12 teams interested in JP
Im fully behind Willingham and I think he has the ability to turn into a big time major league hitter, but does he realistically have a future with the Fish?? Seeing how he can't catch regularly and is clearly not the longterm answer in LF, I just have to wonder if he will be trade bait soon...

Chris Young is MLB ready too, from what I have read on a Sawx board I belong to. After that we would only need to find a LF(well, and a C and 2B), and we have the pitching prospects to do that. I think a rotation of Willis, McCarthy, Olsen, Johnson, and Vargas could more than hold their own. stop being so damn ignorant I agree Now let's get Russ Martin Im not that familiar with Russ Martin, but have seen you lobby for his presence in a Marlins uniform for a while. Who? What? Why?

Slammin Sammy?
Might as well sign Palmeiro and Frank Thomas too

Billy the Marlin
If they move to Las Vegas, I hear that he will become "Heather the Hooker" More like "Henry the Hobo" The mascot in Vegas....

Slammin Sammy?
As long as he makes less than a mil and doesn't cause any distractions in the locker room with our surplus of moldible baseball minds...

Loria addresses the future of the Marlins
Think about it though...if we get the stadium deal sometime during 2006, then we can sign a couple of impact free agents next offseason and have a helluva team in 2007.

If the Marlins were to trade some of their abundant young pitching for Joey Gathright or someone else, who would be the prospect you would get rid of first??

Jayson Stark: up to 12 teams interested in JP
And every pitcher we have traded for so far...

Jayson Stark: up to 12 teams interested in JP
Brian N. Anderson and Brandon McCarthy, FTW! Yeah, really. McCarthy is a stud. Last 7 games: 42.2 IP 1.70 ERA 31 K's 8 BB 31 Hits 1.89 WHIP The kid is about to blow up. Sounds good where do we sign :shifty :thumbup He really does sound like a stud, but we need position players... Unless were going to trade some of these pitchers away, I dont see the need to acquire any more.

Marlins and Huizenga is agreement??
Good to know you're on top of things. :plain Whats up with the attitude...

Marlins and Huizenga is agreement??
Sorry...I didn't see it as another topic

Marlins and Huizenga is agreement??
Meanwhile, Dolphins owner Wayne Huizenga told WFOR-4, ''We have offered the Marlins a lot,'' in negotiations to build a baseball stadium on Huizenga-owned land next to Dolphins Stadium. The Marlins have said there's still a funding gap of at least $80 million. ''At the appropriate time, shortly, we'll talk about what we've agreed to do,'' Huizenga said. http://www.miami.com/mld/miamiherald/sports/13329457.htm

Jayson Stark: up to 12 teams interested in JP
Listen... JP is pretty much the last casualty in the "market correction" The Marlins do not need any more pitching prospects for him, as they have enough for the next 10 years now... Trade Pierre for a stud outfield, 2nd base, or catching prospect...

Get Felix Pie!! Get Him!!!

LoDuca's Replacement?
PUDGE IS THE REASON WHY!!!
-
Josh Willingham
Girardi should be a player-manager or whatever they were back in the day...
-
What if??
The MarlinsWILL win the 2008 World Series Yay! Nostradamus! Just trying to talk myself into staying positive
-
LoDuca to Mets
The Marlins are going to get Anderson Hernandez or Victor Diaz in the LoDuca trade before it is all over with...mark my words. The Fish are then going to ship Juan Pierre and one of these new pitching prospects to the Cubs for Felix Pie
-
Josh Willingham
I think we will not re-sign Conine and put Willy in left field and Treanor behind the plate. That statement is almost as sickening as your avatar...
-
Down to One
At first I wanted to keep Pierre, but we might as well get as much as we can right now. There is no point keeping him to make 2006 better, as it is obvious that the FO doesn't care much about the upcoming season...
-
LoDuca to Mets
To get Gaby is great, but I think Beinfest is still holding out for Anderson Hernandez too
-
Josh Willingham
We threw two mediocre catchers out there in 2004 and you all saw what happened...
