LoMo Switches to #5
Some may see this as a slap in the face to Carl Barger. I disagree, as the 19-year memorial we had is honorable enough. Time to shed everything about the Florida Marlins.

New Pregame and Post Game Analysts for Marlins Live
8 person broadcast crew? wtf I'm sure Conine, Floyd, and Wilson will alternate games much like Minervini and Forte do.

New Pregame and Post Game Analysts for Marlins Live
The Marlins website has now added both Conine and Allison Williams to their list of 2012 broadcasters. http://mlb.mlb.com/team/broadcasters.jsp?c_id=mia

New Pregame and Post Game Analysts for Marlins Live
Yeah, Allison is still working for FSFlorida. I don't think she's good at her job, but she'll probably be back, too. You not liking something? SHOCKER

Yoenis Cespedes to Athletics
They just said on hot stove that the marlins understand it will take more than 50 to get him Sounds terrible. Sounds great.

Another article bashing the Marlins...
http://mlb.sbnation.com/2012/1/21/2723211/miami-marlins-worst-thing-lebron-james-jeffrey-loria-ozzie-guillen "And they're not one of the nightclub acts you line up to see. No, they're a faded 1970s lounge act, long after the genre lost its popularity, with a singer wearing an orange sequined jacket, singing Frank Sinatra and Bing Crosby songs off-key while the lone waitress, whose hair long ago ceased to be blonde but has been frosted that way anyway, serves drinks to fifty-something men who are trying to pretend they don't have combovers."

Are the Marlins primed to make more moves? (Outside of Cespedes)
so I guess you guys agree?

Are the Marlins primed to make more moves? (Outside of Cespedes)
I think we have pieces that can be packaged together before Spring Training or near the trade deadline if we are in contention. In no specific order: Nolasco, Oviedo, G. Sanchez, Coghlan, Dominguez, Yellich We can snag an All-Star caliber bat or starting pitcher for a package of some (or most) of those players.

The Franchise?
I thought I heard at one point they were just going to follow the Giants again. Maybe I was misinformed...

C.J. Wilson to Angels
All the MLB reporters are tweeting that the Angels are making a strong run for Pujols. Maybe they are shifting their attention away from CJ?

Pujols to Angels
"When the Red Sox were trying to deal Manny Ramirez in 2008, they attempted to arrange a multi-team trade that would have seen both Stanton and Jason Bay end up in Boston." -MLBTR I'm not denying Stanton's involvement. But this was 2008. Stanton was hardly a year in our system. Jeremy Hermida was the big piece in the deal. Boston's insistence on Stanton being included was the SOLE reason that trade fell through.
-
Pujols to Angels
It was Stanton. I'm fairly certain it was Jeremy Hermida for Manny Ramirez. Yeah, I remember that trade deadline pretty clearly. It was Hermida. It was a proposed 3 way deal..... The trade would have netted us Manny and we would have sent Hermida to the Pirates..... The Red Sox wanted Stanton bad though so we didn't go through with deal.
