I'm going to guess if he had brought in someone to pitch with the bases loaded, you would've said "WHY WOULD YOU BRING IN (Insert reliever X, Y, or Z)? FREDI IS THE MOST STUPIDED!" Sounds like a whole lot of crock from Fredi. Its pretty hard to believe he would throw out numbers like ".390" and ".057" completely off the top of his head considering they are spot on. Unless the reporters brought Gaby's and Morrison's exact averages to Fredi's attention, he HAS to be keeping an eye on the stats.

I can't figure out why some of you guys love Brett Carroll so much as we have seen this all before: Reggie Abercrombie played in 146 games for the Marlins and he was 69 for 331 (.208 avg, .593 OPS) with 55 runs scored, 7 homers, 29 RBIs and 13 stolen bases. He was 26 years old in his last season (2007) with the Marlins. Brett Carroll has played in 141 games for the Marlins and he is 43 for 207 (.208 avg, .597 OPS) with 33 runs scored, 3 homers and 21 RBIs. He was 26 years old last season for the Marlins. Look how close those numbers are. Yes, but Brett Carroll is a master with the glove! Not sure what any of the metrics say, but he has great range and an AMAZING arm. His value as a defensive replacement overshadows his below average numbers at the plate.

Hey man welcome!!! The bottom line when it comes to the series being moved is the $$$$$$$$$$$. I'm sure MLB is willing to generously compensate the Marlins for moving games to Puerto Rico. Im sure they have added a couple zeros to the check since we shot the idea down a year or so ago.

I don't even have to read the article to tell you the 2003 team was a lot better. Exactly. Especially the hitting. I'd say more like "especially the starting pitching." I'd say more like "especially the coaching staff."

The Suns season ends on September 7th. So I think it can only help Dominguez to get a month's worth of at-bats or so in AA to prepare him for the AFL.

It is guaranteed that the Marlins will not make a trade involving any of the following players: Stanton, Morrison, Maybin, Dominguez. I just can't see Beinfest trading away any of these players as they literally are the backbone of our future. I don't see any realistic scenario that has the Marlins coming out on top if we lose any of those four, especially if the main piece in return is a 32-year old reliever.

I'm pretty sure he will be available. The 5th or 6th inning most likely.

I would love the acquisition, but there are probably a good dozen teams interested in him. (Not sure we can outbid everybody) He is cheap, versatile, and a great clubhouse guy....the Beinfest trifecta!!

I don't know what you folks are talking about. I am watching a replay of yesterday's game in the MLB.TV archive right now. They most certainly DO show the Marlins games. You can watch the game archived, but not live.

At least I'm going to get a decent amount of games, and I just recently got a nice big flat screen and HD service, so it should be sweet (even though I have yet to actually get to use it...) This is the bottom line for everyone in Tallahassee. The 55 games on this list, no matter where they are being broadcasted, will not be available through Comcast. http://www.sunsportstv.com/notseeing_marli...tml?method=list We get blacked out from national broadcasts because the big networks (ESPN, FOX, TBS) recognize that we are in Marlins territory, but do not realize that the game is not being broadcast by local providers. Once again, the games on that list will not be shown in Tallahassee, regardless of the station broadcasting them, the Rays schedule, or any other broadcast variables.
