  1. only 17 more games with hopefully the playoffs
  2. What is Girardi supposed to do with the bullpen? Every single guy in there is unreliable. Tankersly is supposed to be our best guy out there and couldn't get the job done. Period....he is our best reliever. If he can't get the job done, you're screwed regardless because the other guys are just plain HORRIBLE. he was put in a position to fail
  3. Joe bailed on Nalasco too quickly. He had Hanely run in the mud with the best hitters on their way to the plate. He put Tankersley back out there after too many pitches. He gave up one of his final 6 outs to have one of his better hitters bunt. He didn't use Jacobs for Olivo. Using Wood and Aguila was not a mistake in the 9th, it just shouldn't have come to that. :notworthy :notworthy
  4. this was all first-guessing, for the record: a. NO pitcher should go more than one inning, unless it's absolutely necessary. Let the Tankersley Tommy John countdown begin. b. Tank needed to come out when he let the first two on base to start the inning (though he shouldn't have even started the inning after such a laborious first inning of work) c. you HAVE to have faith, and show faith, in the other arms in your bullpen. Tank gave it all he could. I don't usually blame managers, but this one's on Girardi. bring in your best reliever (joe) to face their best hitter...common sense
  5. Blah blah....the umpires didn't give up a three run homer to Delgado. If the Fish were to just worry about the things they can control they would have won the game regardless of the umpire. Our bullpen is probably the worst in the majors. bullpen managment
  6. If he doesn't use Tank after Tank has had to sit while we hit, we don't lose this game. i wouldn't say that but it greatly increases our chances... something joe is not very good at doing
  7. this is nothing new, as my sig shows
  8. if anything, i think the ump helped us more than he hurt us
  9. a bad bullpen + bad manager always= disaster WE ARE ONLY 2 GAMES OUT WITH 17 LEFT! IT'S OK, JUST PRETENED CINCY LOST AND WE WON! WE'LL BE FINE, WE WEREN'T GOING TO GO 18-0
  10. dosen't this look familiar?
  11. LOL at everyone's ignorance :hat
  12. WARY OF HOWARD Girardi said the Marlins will approach Phillies slugger Ryan Howard with extreme caution when the teams open their series tonight. Howard has been on a power tear, raising his major league-leading home run total to 53. Girardi had said this season that he wanted his pitchers to go after Albert Pujols and Barry Bonds as part of their learning experience. ''But we're not 20 games under anymore, either, so the situation will dictate what we're going to do with him,'' Girardi said of Howard. ``He's been impressive.'' This was from yesterday's Miami Herald (9/7) - Girardi is so full of s**t, as he lets Howard beat us tonight. that qoute tells you all you have to know...22 games left!!!(Hopefully) hopefully we win the WC too.
  13. here's an idea: A Girardi bobble head to bang against the wall every game after we observe his dumb ass sh*t.
  14. too bad no one could open their eyes and see Howard's stats
  15. gotta love the matchups! go reel em in boys! That's the thing with the Marlins. Almost every night we have the better pitcher going. it's a beautifual thing
  16. gotta love the matchups! go reel em in boys!
