  1. Watch Father Time(Julio Franco) get a web gem at 3rd base, lmao. :lol i didn't even realize he played 3rd the averages of the met hitters: .113 .314 .245 .263 .209 .208 .200 .091 .188 we should bunt to 3rd each AB, no joke.
  2. we have issues if we can't win this game...
  3. LOL, i will guarantee this victory
  4. Could you imagine gas prices if we nuked the Middle East? $15/gallon it would be worth it. God forbid anything like this happen, about 70% of the world would cease to exist. If they do it (God forbid ofcourse) they better be prepared for the biggest military campaign in the history of the world. WW III watch continues.... i believe it has already began
  5. I'm looking forward to being the 2007 World Series Champions. :notworthy :notworthy :notworthy Amen.
  6. change of ownership :thumbdown change of manager
  7. if we sign a few good arms and get a CF, i think we can contend with the mets next year
  8. my dream bullpen: Tankersley Resop Speier Pinto Bradford Eischen Walker i believe we could get this bullpen and keep our payroll at about 30 mil. of course, this would mean getting a rookie CF, which sould be no problem
  9. one guy not on the list who i really like is Justin Speier.
  10. Reggie Abercrombie has flashed a rare combination of speed and power this season. Today, the Marlins outfielder joins MLB.com MIDDAY (12:30 p.m. ET), while the Fantasy 411's Mike Siano and Cory Schwartz play "Monkey in the Middle". :plain
  11. also, if joe were to leave, i wouldn't mind us over-paying kranitz to stay here. i would rather not sign one more player and use that money to keep him here to develop the new arms and to keep our current pitchers happy and sucessful
  12. i'd like bradford and baez (he's cuban and said he'd like playing here). i like cordero too, although his option will likley be picked up. wickman would be good, as would kline/cormier
  13. I think I speak for everyone when I say, Wildmarlinman really needs to STFU. We don't need a thread about how much you hate Girardi every f***ing day. We get it you don't like him. Thanks! There is a quote that I can't remember that says that "anyone can manage a baseball game with all the tools they have now, but not everyone can get 25 strange guys to play hard for 162 games. I can't believe a baseball fan don't have a clue about this. Talent alone doen't make a winning team, what our talented team did last year??? You put this young team with a manager like McKeon and they don't even come close to the record they have this year. you have no clue. in game managing is imporant. how can you be so f***ing stupid. after all you've seen from joe u still have the nerve to say this. yea this clubhouse is real hard to manage.....
  14. we will challange the mets next year for the division, if not wild card is clinched
  15. at least williams is starting. Who might that be? dave williams is pitching for the mets. we get to be treated with the wonderful matchup of moeher v williams
  16. Notes: Johnson sidelined by cramp Rookie hurler misses turn after forearm tightness in last start By Joe Frisaro / MLB.com ATLANTA -- A forearm cramp is causing the Marlins to be extra cautious with rookie right-hander Josh Johnson. Johnson's arm tightened in his Tuesday start against the Mets, in a game that featured two rain delays that totaled two hours and eight minutes. Because he hasn't thrown since that 73-pitch outing, Johnson will be skipped over for his normal turn in the rotation on Monday. The Marlins are turning to veteran Brian Moehler (7-8, 6.12 ERA) to make the start, the first of four games with the Mets at Shea Stadium. Johnson will play catch on Sunday, and if that goes well, he will throw off the mound on Monday. But he isn't projected to start again until the Marlins face the Phillies at Citizens Bank Park on Saturday, Sept. 23. At 12-7 with a 3.10 ERA, Johnson is a strong candidate to win the National League Rookie of the Year Award. He was leading the Major Leagues in ERA for a while, but now he's fourth in the NL in that category. "He's getting better, but we're not going to push him," pitching coach Rick Kranitz said. In a season of firsts for many of the team's rookies, Johnson got a crash course in how to deal with inclement conditions in that Tuesday start against the Mets. Johnson walked Carlos Delgado and threw one way high to David Wright in the second inning as heavy rains fell. The game was then held up for one hour and 22 minutes. He ended up pitching five scoreless innings, giving up three hits. For the first time in his big-league career, Johnson had to adapt to waiting out the weather while remaining warmed up. Shortly into the delay, Dontrelle Willis went up to Johnson and suggested the rookie play some catch about 20 minutes into the stoppage. For the season, Johnson has compiled 157 innings in 31 games with 24 starts. "It's tough," the 6-foot-7 right-hander said. "It's smart [to skip a turn], but it's also really tough. I really don't want to [be held back], but in the long run it's smarter. If I could pitch, I would, I'd love to." As of now, it appears Johnson will have two more starts in the regular season: Next Saturday and Sept. 29 at home, also against the Phillies. Depending on where the Marlins are in the standings, with an off-day on Sept. 25, it is likely there will be a shuffling of the rotation. at least williams is starting.
  17. these things should be declassified as humans. they're animals. they have no thought process or intellect...nothing. they just riot and kill. note: i'm only talking about the Muslims that ALWAYS act irrationally, not the MILLIONS THAT ARE CIVIL.
  18. HELL NO, but unfortunately i think he stays
  19. my name is girardi and all i do is bunt. bunt, bunt, bunt. i'm the wannstedt of baseball
  20. Looks like we may have given our chance for the playoffs away the past two days... It looks like we play 162 games in a season we could easily win 3 in a row and SD can easily loose 3
