  1. Hanley Hermida Jake Miggy Uggla Olivo Willingham Who ever the heck Girardi tries to put in CF P.
  2. I'd like to give Tank a shot, but he seems to be rattled easily.
  3. When are they doing this? anyone know? You just miss it, it was at 9 pm EST :whistle What'd they use?
  4. lol Hermida is mlb ready... there's no arguing that How do you figure? He made the jump from AA to the Bigs. Not many guys can do this. I think he needed another year in AAA. And if we didn't purge our payroll, I think he would have started there.
  5. after the season we have had, girardi could start matt herges tomorrow and bat abercrombie cleanup and loria still shouldnt say anything to him. it's great that he cares about the team, but get a hold of yourself. we don't need a super-fan as owner who gets involved in team decisions ala dan snyder. hopefully it's all over with.... LOL....Mark Cuban. I hope Joe doesn't quit. In fact, I hope he didn't even mention it. That would show that he acts erraticly under his emotions.
  6. I was in the players parking lot when they all came out and they seemed like whatever was said made them feel a lot better because all the players came out joking and seemed more awake then they had the entire weekend. I guess whatever was said in there really got the players pumped because they were horsing around and jumping on each other as they walked out. Thats nice to hear. Did you get any autographs/pictures etc:? Hopefully they come out Tuesday (My b-day ) and get a much needed win. I saw all the players and some of them said hi but I was just in there to give something to Cody Ross he had asked me for so I didn't have a camera or a baseball or anything else to sign. What did you have to give him? Patience? Hair? I sit out in left field with Cliffsgirl and some other friends and we have a nice little cody ross fan club and we had some shirts made up and he came over friday before the game started and asked for one so we brought it to him today. Cody's a nice guy. After that 10-2 butt whipping at the hands of L.A. We ran into him and Reggie in the parking lot. They both signed autograph's for my kids and there friends and talked a bit. Really cool.
  7. That stadium is practiclly ours. The Dolphins use it for 8 games while we use it for 81. 10 games actually, But the biggest difference I see is that The Dolphins draw 70,000+ a game, whereas the Marlins get close to 10,000 a game. If more people went to Marlins games, we wouldn't need a new stadium. This year the Dolphins will use it for 13 games though 2 preseason 8 regular season bye week 2 playoff games 1 superbowl victory Still getting the marlins their own stadium is needed because then they could keep it grass and no more clay diamond. It helps both teams, as the clay kills kickers and can hurt badly upon injuries. Ah, of course! How could I have forgotten?
  8. I'm heading out to the game tonight and I'm just wondering what time does batting practice start. Gonna try and get there early. Thanks.
  9. Baseball Prospectus' system, which accounts for future strength of schedule, is putting us with a 4.7% chance. Bah. I don't believe in that stuff. Right now, we're playing the best baseball out of everyone. We'll be hard to count out.
  10. Which is one reason why I found it so interesting. Girardi taught a lesson at the expense of winning. Interesting indeed. But how do you feel about that as a fan? And I agree, Wes Welker's the man.
  11. Let's hope he gets the job done tonight, I have confidence in him.

  13. That's what I said in another thread. It looks like he's afraid of getting hit with the ball when he squares up, so he kind of bunts at an angle and it goes foul. Doesn't help that he probably flinches too.
  14. I LOVED How Tommy Hutton completely flipped... thawas great Haha, that was hysterical! I was at the game so I didnt hear it but you have to love Rich and Tommy. They are so into the game. Some announcers are sooooo BORING and show no emotion. I love Tommy and Rich. They really get into the game just like we do. I remember in June against the Blue Jays, Treanor hit what looked like a FC. But the 1st base ump called Treanor out at first. Treanor easily beat the throw by 2 steps. Tommy flipped. He blatantly said something like "That's the worse call I've seen in baseball in years. It wasn't even close." I laughed so hard. I love Tommy and Rich. The way they get emotional after a big win or bad call is great.
  15. Just figure you would use common sense and figure it would be about Marlins fans since this is a forum full of Marlins fans. Ok, well I still stick to my guns. And to be completely honest with you, I don't see a point in this poll.
  16. Olivo has a hard time catching everyone. He really is kind of awful behind the plate. That said, I doubt anything changes. Hard time catching everyone? How can you be so objective and biased about the guy? The guys' improved drastically. And I remember JJ saying that Olivo calling his games has been a big help to him and his succes. Lighten up a bit.
  17. Well, you didn't exactly specify which fan base. So I vote Huizenga. He cares about dolphin fans more than Loria cares about Marlins fan. One would think common sense would take over in the Marlins forum. And Flummoxed, you continue to be awesome. Well his poll didn't exactly specify, did it? Both are owners for two different teams. And it's my opinion that Huizenga cares more about his fans than Loria does about his. Why is this a difficult concept to understand?
  18. "This isn't where I parked my car..."
  19. Well, you didn't exactly specify which fan base. So I vote Huizenga. He cares about dolphin fans more than Loria cares about Marlins fan.
  20. Yea Olsen has been the best pitcher in our system for years compared to JJ who actually came out of nowhere last year. Stuff wise you have to say Olsen but I love JJ's mentality and he has 3 consistent pitches (FB,SL,CH) while Olsen basically dominates with the two (FB, SL), which scares me a litlte bit but He'll be fine :lol Olsen has really developed a nice changeup.
  21. Abercrombie is the only one without a smile on his face. Heh, I noticed that too. just cut him at an odd moment... he was smiling and rubbing Hammer's head in the scrum LoL ya he was,i even saw him running after Willy afterwards and jumping on him along with Amezaga.Check out Dontrelle on that pic Admin posted, looks like he just won the World Series.I remember when we were in Boston i think A-Gon got HBP and the benches cleared and Dontrelle came racing out of the dugout with a baseball :lol LMAO!!!!!!!!
  22. Looks like Reggie's got a smile in this one :lol @ Dontrelle LOL. How can anyone not enjoy watching Dontrelle play the game? That guy gives his best and puts his heart in everything he does. It's a joy to watch him have fun.
  23. Actually, the call by Rich Waltz was pretty cool, too. What did he say?? It's not what he said really, but how he said it. Lots of emotion. He enjoyed it as much as we did. The dude's a big Mariners fan. But I'm really happy he's found a soft spot for the fish. I really like him and Tommy. After hearing most other broadcast duos. I feel they are among the best in baseball.
  24. Did anyone else see Amezaga kicking someone when they were all jumping on Hammer? That seems to be his thing, he's done that before too LOL, really?
