  1. Maybe German just didn't wanted to be in the team while Herge is grateful he is still playing in a MLB team.
  2. Hmm, Miguel haven't gotten a day rest yet. I wonder how our lineup will look without Cabrera. Cuz not many players get a perfect 162/162.
  3. I'm sure there is still hope, maybe Padres figure since Moehler has a 7.00+ ERA he'll play a rookie minor pitch that game.
  4. Scouting Report on 3 games away series against the San Diego Padres: Marlins (21-36) Padres (31-29) Friday, June 9: PETCO Park | 10:05 PM ET Ricky Nolasco, RHP (4-2, 3.15) Nolasco had a career game Saturday against the Rockies, pitching eight innings in the Marlins' first shutout of the season. He struck out seven and walked one while scattering eight hits. Nolasco had command of his fastball, and used his curveball sparingly early before mixing it in effectively as the game went on. Chris Young, RHP (5-3, 3.39) Young is coming off two straight dominating performances. Carrying a no-hitter into the seventh and sixth innings, respectively, the 27-year-old right-hander has given up just three hits over his last 16 innings (two starts). Mixing a high, riding fastball with a trio of offspeed pitches, Young has kept hitters perpetually off-balance while inducing weak pop out after weak pop out. Young has had quality starts in nine of his 12 outings. He won his lone career start against Florida earlier this year, holding the Marlins scoreless on one hit over six innings. Saturday, June 10: PETCO Park | 10:05 PM ET Scott Olsen, LHP (4-3, 5.60) Olsen threw his fourth quality start Sunday, going 6 2/3 innings and allowing three runs on six hits and a walk for his second consecutive win. After facing hot and cold stretches earlier in the season, often within a single game, Olsen has been consistently strong in his last two starts, avoiding the big innings while posting a 2.63 ERA in those games. Clay Hensley, RHP (4-4, 4.15) Too much of a good thing was Hensley's undoing in his start at Milwaukee. Unable to control his sinking fastball, he walked seven in an uncharacteristic display of wildness, taking himself out of the game after 3 2/3 innings. Hensley, who mixes a slider, curve and change around his meal ticket, had walked only four men in his previous four starts, so he wrote this off as an aberration and expects to rebound with his characteristic poise and control. Sunday, June 11: PETCO Park | 4:05 PM ET Brian Moehler, RHP (3-5, 7.17) Moehler's personal three-game winning streak came to a crashing halt with his worst outing of the season on Monday. He couldn't get an out in the fifth inning, and left having given up eight runs on 10 hits and two walks in four-plus innings in San Francisco. His stuff against the Giants for the most part wasn't horrible, but after loading the bases on three soft singles, Moehler left pitches up in the zone to Lance Niekro (three-run triple) and Barry Bonds (two-run homer). Jake Peavy, RHP (4-6, 4.56) Peavy's last start certainly wasn't the reassurance the Padres were hoping for that he had overcome the tendonitis that required eight days of rest between starts. The right-hander threw just 3 2/3 innings, allowing five earned runs on seven hits with a walk, a wild pitch and three strikeouts in Milwaukee on Tuesday. An RBI double with two outs by opposing pitcher Dave Bush was perhaps the low point for the All-Star hurler. Sunday, June 12: 5 Hours Severe Training For Fish At Dolphin Stadium Or 10 Hours Of Punishment If Fishy Look Like April Marlins Again Against The Padres Scouting Report on 3 games home series against the Atlanta Braves: Marlins (21-36) Troll Prediction: (23-37) Braves (29-32) Troll Prediction: (30-34) Tuesday, June 13: Dolphin Stadium | 7:05 PM ET John Smoltz, RHP (4-4, 3.73) Smoltz bounced back from two rough outings with what manager Bobby Cox called a solid performance in his last start, which came against Washington. Until allowing three runs in the sixth inning, the right-hander showed great command of his pitches and finished the night with eight strikeouts. When he faced Florida earlier this season, Smoltz allowed three runs in 7 1/3 innings in a no-decision. Josh Johnson, RHP (4-4, 2.11) The NL Rookie of the Month for May has a personal two-game losing streak going, but it's all Jason Schmidt's fault. In his last two starts, a 6-1 loss May 31 and a 2-1 defeat Tuesday, Johnson has given up just three earned runs in 14 innings, with 11 strikeouts and five walks. Johnson looked particularly effective Tuesday against Barry Bonds, who struck out swinging on a pitch that came in at 94 mph before dipping below Bonds' knees at the plate. Troll Prediction Beyond This Point: Tuesday, June 14: Dolphin Stadium | 7:05 PM ET Dontrelle Willis LHP Tuesday, June 15: Dolphin Stadium | 7:05 PM ET Ricky Nolasco RHP Its a 5 men rotation: 1. Dontrelle Willis 2. Ricky Nolasco 3. Scott Olsen 4. Brian Moehler 5. Josh Johnson 6. Loop back to 1. It's is a forever cycle unless someone get injure or Mitre comes back, someone got traded, someone got brought up from the Minor, etc...
  5. ESPN phone Ivan Rodriguez earlier, does that count?
  6. So look like even Joe was buffle on the release of German. :banghead
  7. i REALLY want to know why Herges is still with the club... he's hasn't even been used lately. he's just wasting a space on the roster. i just email Mr. Frisario and asked him. hopefully i'll get me some answers Any answer yet? :confused
  8. Yeah I was getting concern about his hitting too. 2 weeks ago his avg was under .200. I was very worry about him with bad pitching start and hitting too . I know he is suppose to be a pitcher but what is his avg right now? Yes I am very concern about a pitcher hitting, he suppose to have a .260! :mad
  9. When was the last time we had a sold out stadium? If it was in 2003 World Series, don't say a word, I rather not know something so sad.
  10. Right now the pitching coach shouldn't even talk to Willis, no change should be made at this time.
  11. So Uggla is a little old, I'll still take him.
  12. With about 10 extra pitches for walk every game, he has prove he has endurance and can prevent clutch hitting when it really count. 2 complete games in the last 6 games.
  13. He's a groundout pitcher, not a strike out one. As long Ramirez can throw right or Jacobs can catch them all, he'll be find. His ball ratio is 2.5. Not bad for a couple complete games.
  14. Yeah it was a great pitching duel, I think Schmidt had more of a advantage because of the number of times the Marlins strike out so far in the season. :cheers for Johnson performance our hidden talent.
  15. I know it only take 1 bad outing to raise your ERA by half a point to 10 points in the first month but D-Train is much better then this. Well I think it is better that his ERA is low 4 to mid 3 while dominating so our GM will have a hard time finding a trade.
  16. Damn I miss it, anyone can give me the summary? :plain That was it? I was surprised, they were talking about the Marlins longer than usual. I wonder how much air time do the Marlins get yearly before 2003. Without counting the usual 3 seconds daily game result.
  17. Castillo was pretty damn good in 1999/2000.
  18. Yeah now everyone is on board.
  19. I thought he had over .300 last year.
  20. I guess you all didn't notice I forgot the C too.
  21. Look fake, I hope someone confilm it.
  22. Who thinks Borchard is better then Encarnacion? 4-3 Borchard :banghead No wonder why Cabrera losing the All-Star race with the MLB leading avg.
  23. He look more like a DH with that long injury
  24. Some will be miss, it is the cycle of the fish...
  25. 3.86, that is pretty good for a season ERA.
