  1. http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/uk/article6225382.ece Of course, Michael Savage is raising a huge stink about this, as he does not advocate violence. He is pondering suing the Home Office. Also on the list: Fred Phelps, of the Westboro Baptist Church. Wonder when the "God Hates the United Kingdom" site will go live? :mischief
  2. If Jimmy Buffett is buying the naming rights, why not just call it Margaritaville? :mischief
  3. From last night: That kid caught Hanley Ramirez's homer on the fly. Souvenir the easy way. :mischief
  4. We cannot afford more debt. We need somebody with the balls to finally cut the budget.
  5. Volstad deserves a win here. And the Fish deserve a short CG to rest the bullpen and bench.
  6. I thought the Polls go up after they build the stadium, what are the polls for, to mark out an area? or for design. I believe Tommy said today that the flags are located exactly where the bases will be on the diamond! This. It is purely for visualization purposes.
  7. What he said was completely assinine. For all we know, Hubert Humphrey (1968 Democratic presidential candidate) wouldn't have said dick about cancer. Would we then be able to blame the Democrats for Paul Tsongas' death? (For example)
  8. http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2009/m...-of-gop-agenda/ Sen. Arlen Specter, Pennsylvania Democrat, said part of the reason that he left the Republican Party last week was disillusionment with its health-care priorities, and suggested that had the Republicans taken a more moderate track, Jack Kemp may have won his battle with cancer. Mr. Specter, responding to a question from CBS' Bob Schieffer over whether he had let down Pennsylvanians who wanted a Republican to represent them, said he thought his priorities were more in line with those of the Democrats. "Well, I was sorry to disappoint many people. Frankly, I was disappointed that the Republican Party didn't want me as their candidate," Mr. Specter said on "Face the Nation." "But as a matter of principle, I'm becoming much more comfortable with the Democrats' approach. And one of the items that I'm working on, Bob, is funding for medical research." Mr. Specter continued: "If we had pursued what President Nixon declared in 1970 as the war on cancer, we would have cured many strains. I think Jack Kemp would be alive today. And that research has saved or prolonged many lives, including mine." Mr. Kemp died Saturday of cancer. He had been the running mate of 1996 Republican presidential candidate Bob Dole.
  9. The point is, the Marlins aren't losing. And they won't lose this game.

  21. Greg Maddux made it a point to say Beat the Marlins Today when they retired his number... Now I really want to see the Cubbies lose... WIN...Fish That is all. He's pissed because the Fish pinned two losses on him in the 1997 NLCS. :mischief
  22. What channels are the HD broadcasts on? I can't find it, and usually i have the HD option when available. I have comcast cable. no box. Thanks. No box, no HD cable channels. Forget it. If it's like Bright House Orlando, it will pipe the HD broadcast signals through the cable, but only broadcast channels. It won't do any cable channels in HD.
  23. Wow, Fish getting it started early. Sorry I'm late, work stuff.
  24. http://www.rotoworld.com/content/playerpag...=MLB&id=893 didnt know Hanley still played for the Red Sox We traded him last night for Ellsbury He was traded to the Rays, either for Cantu or Waechter. :mischief I tell you, the bunt last night by Maybin that scored the second run of the 10th was the best bunt I've ever seen.
  25. Keep the streak alive, ladies and gentlemen. With the sole exception of April 5, when the Braves/Phillies game was the only game played on Opening Night, the Marlins held at least a share of the lead during the entire month of April
