This was by far my favorite movie of the year. I know it is a limited release so I put the Screeners up on my website. If they do not work let me know and I will get it back up there. I felt like it didn't upload right. Public.mac.com
  3. I agree Letters from Iwo Jima was much better. If I had to give a top 5. 1. Good, Bad, Ugly 2. A Fistful of Dollars 3. Unforgiven 4. Mystic River 5. The Outlaw Josey Wales/Escape from Alcatraz
  4. I heard that Boston was interested in keeping Varitek and if not they were interested in a younger catcher. I doubt that Ivan Rodriguez is their idea of a younger catcher. Pudge doesn't call a great game and thats the most important thing to Boston. That is why Varitek can hit 200 and they are still talking to him about 10 million a year. Pudge doesn't call a great game? Well lately he is being crticized for calling too many fastballs to avoid baserunners getting a jump on him http://www.dugoutcentral.com/blog/?p=1719 Exactly, that is the one thing that the Red Sox have said publicly. his love for the fastball is a bit to much.
  5. eh it was okay

I was shocked at the Arizona-Carolina game last night. Delhomme sucked big time. Loved it tho cos I hate the Panthers. Just shows it doesnt matter how u make the playoffs, its simply getting there that counts. A whole new ball game in January (referring to 8-8 Arizona) Woohoo post #1000 9-7 , San Diego is 8-8. Congrats on 1,000
  7. it is only 1 real event a year. They have hte "semis" and the "finals" Luckily ESPN covers it because I watch it every year. Except this year it seemed weird that like 5 of the finalists were Americans. Normally there are more international guys.
  8. Clint Eastwood is one of my favorite people ever. Everything he is apart of is amazing and this is another great movie. From a fist full of dollars to this he either directs or acts in excellent movies. I thought the movie was an 8/10, but I do not think it is the best movie in 2009. I have enjoyed Frost/Nixon more.

it would be cool if 10-8 and 11-7 #4 seeds host #6 seeds next week

  11. I would be interested ONLY if he got a deal very similar to Pavano, almost completely based on incentives for innings pitched. thats the only way it work or make sense.

How about my Super Bowl team out of the NFC right now! The Cardinals are dominating the Panthers.

Well I called it earlier that the Ravens would win this game Turnovers killed the Titans in crucial spots but then again, forcing them is the specialty of Baltimore They should of lost both games, but they caused key turnovers.
  14. never heard of him. The last few guys who came over have been good.
  15. How many leaders does a team need? You are telling me Pudge will be the only leader on the team? I think he would be a decent platoon guy, the money will be a lot most likely, but I do not think we know if he will be a "Great" leader.
  16. If they can pick up either one of those players, that would be very nice for that team. I think it would be a decent pickup for the NAts, maybe not the best, but it will add to them.

Ravens are going to be tough to beat next week.
  18. The Red Sox moves have been less risky, if that's what you mean. How is it less risky? Smoltz- bad arm Penny- bad arm Saito- Bad arm Baldeli- Has a desease that makes him tired Kotsay- Hitting has gone down and has a history of injuries B/c they are all short deals. That is why it is less risky. If any of them get hurt, who cares. Its only for a year. I the Yanks players get hurt, they will feel it for years to come. If the only criteria by which you are judging each signing is their length then yes, each one has merit. But every player involved has significant issues that can't be ignored. Mark Kotsay couldn't earn a roster spot on the Marlins, I don't think Baldelli could either, or Penny, and it's not just about the money. The real reason there is a perception of less risk is because the Red Sox are financially an elite team, one of maybe eight or so who can afford to throw s*** against the wall and see what sticks. At least half the baseball teams in the MLB couldn't take the risk of (as a group) doing those signings. Here is where I have to disagree w/ you. The idea that this is only a perception. It is not. If one of these guys tanks, the Sox have the resources to go out mid season and pick up a replacement anywhere. If it were the Royals, on the other hand, they would not have that luxury. That is why I disagree that this is mere perception. This IS less of a risk, not mere perception for the Sox. Let's be honest, you don't honestly think that ALL of these guys are going to fail. I'll say that the most of these signings will be successful. Maybe a small percentage will not pan out. But that is, again, a luxury the Sox can afford. They can have some failure within these signings. As for Baldelli or Kotsay not being able to earn a spot on the Marlins, that is irrelevant. They are both bench players for the Boston Red Sox right now. It is a good fit for both of these individuals. If Baldelli is not feeling well one day, Kotsay can pick up the slack and visa ersa. On most MLB rosters, both of these individuals are starters. Again, good signings for the Red Sox. Beat me to it and just adding... I agree :thumbup

Joe Flacco has an amazing arm. I got to see a few of his games when he played for Delaware on CSS, but he looks amazing. He throws basically a perfect ball and can get it their fast. Wow that throw to hook up with Mason for 50 yards and a TD was sweeeeeeet yes and he threw it from about 60 yards with his drop back.

  23. INcredible. Great offseason thus far. I'd say much smarter way of approaching the season than the Yankees. Solid Solid signings thus far. Yankees find a guy who has a bad arm and give him 4 years. :lol made me laugh out loud, because it is so true. Yankees have to be the worst team in evaluating any talent. The reason they maintain to be good is because for every 10 players 3 or so will work. They have horrible management. I do not think it is all Cashman either. I think they have grown a decent farm. It's good ole George and Hank being impulsive about a lot of things.
  24. Great moves for the Red Sox. they knew they had a core and needed pieces to fit aorund the team, and that is what they have done. If they make a trade for Salty they will pretty much be a complete team.

Yeah, it has nothing to do with the years before 1997. Basically what they're saying is we win a title every 6th year Still isn't right. Techinally they just won 2 titles in 6 years, or they won 2 in 10 years. Which would of made more sense for every 5, but that was blown in 07/08 depending on how you count. Oh well :confused
