  1. and if they would start badenhops big league time, whats wrong about volstad's? exactly Badenhop's chances of winding up in our rotation long-term (& thus being a $ issue) are not anywhere near Volstad's. so that would mean they would rather save money than try to win more

  3. Volstad's not coming up. Financial reasons. Volstad's not coming up. Because Volstad's not ready. No need to rush him. The FO has shown in the past that if someone is deemed ready, up they come. Financial reasons be damned. In Chris's case I think patience is a virtue. I think Andrew should go down and get things together. Put Doug in the rotation for now and bring someone up to fill the long relief spot. Leave Volstad where he is to get his starts in and fine tune. what is the pont of qwasting him in aa when you have this piece of sh*t on the mound every 5 days
  4. if they dont send him down im gonna be so pissed. tonight 7 innings 1 er 0 bb's. this franchise is a joke if they dont bring him up and send him down. ive had enough of this sh*t. the kids terrible.
  5. this is werd. i was literlally looking ast yahoo and sometimes i go back to other seasons and look at the games an look at who pitched and stuff like that and i saw his name and i said. haha i remember him. this is wier
  6. The problem is that we keep calling up guys who aren't ready. First it was Vandy who had the problems, and it was "We need to call up Badenhop!". Now it's Hopper, and we need to call up Volstad. Then it's going to be "Call up Gaby!", then Thompson, then Tucker, then Sinkbiel, then De La Cruz. And then someone is going to say "Hey, De La Cruz needs a trip to AA, how is VandenHurk doing?" and the cycle continues. vandy isnt a top notch prospect and volstad is better than all those guys and is well polished He's not as "top notch" as Miller is and he's struggling up here. Volstad's only started 12 games above High-A ball. I'd like to give him a bit more before calling him up. he is a top notch prospect and he is dominating in double a unlik miller who barely played aa. I know that Volstad is a great prospect, but Miller was ranked higher than him, and while he didn't play much AA, he has been in the Majors since last May. because detroit had injuries an he hasnt been sent down because he is supposed to be so good.

  10. Hopefully after the all star break at the earliest. what. i say call him up now. he has shown that he can dominate double a. he isnt out of control and its not like he is just skating past innings and leaving men on base like a miller does. i say send badenhop down after thursday and bring him up after thursday. his ground ball to fly ball ratio is 3 to 1.
  11. theres no tri rail near the stadium
  12. He is pitching lights out and how long can we stick with Badenhop? Rotoworld said that if he isnt up by the end of may they will be shocked. When will he come up?
  13. i think the double switch could be a good thing or bad thing. it is only a bad thing if it is early in the game. he just doesnt want to waste his bench once every time aroun the lineup
  14. i think if its for traenor or wood an he becomes the backup but i like rabelo
  15. can anybody tell me the pitching matchups because my dad only goes to good ones and he said that olsen was pitching on wed. and he said he heard that on the radio becuase of the off day. but i saw on espn that he is pitching thursday
  16. no they didnt. i have been watching this all year. there bulpen went from 4 to 4th.\ there rotation as a whole is 22nd. but the rotation is still 22nd.
  17. Just some food for thought. -Same situation as last night in the 9th today in the 9th. -1 on, no outs. -This time, Amezaga doesn't bunt, like I was asking for, and he gets a hit. Runner moves to 2nd. -Helms up to bat like I was against, and he strikes out. -Then Hanley dies out and Uggla gets the good hit and bring in 2 runs. Thank you Fredi for proving to myself that I was right. you werent right dumbass. last night he was facing a closer and tonight he was facing a sh*tty pitcher up by 3. Hm, your right. Outs are obviously less important against good pitchers than bad pitcher... Right. And please, we try to refrain from personal attacks here, it cheapens you. so you are aying your would rather have amezaga maybe not get on and have hanley up with 2 outs and a guy on 1st. than have 2 outs and a guy on 2nd. dude your a joke. there is a reason why every manager does it my way and nobody agrees with you Every manager does it that way? Our manager doesn't even do it that way. yes he does. and once you respond with what i know you are going to say i will tell you why you are such a dumbass when it comes to baseball logic

  20. I was wondering if that was you when they said yandro. Good stuff, congrats on getting your email read. Heck yea!! That was pretty cool... did they say an email about the games starting at 10 after the hour this year instead of 5
  21. Miller down, Volstad up, please!!!!!! volstad starts tomorrow so not yet If we call him up today, then he won't start tomorrow. Problem solved. That said, I still don't see it happening. then by the time he pitches next he hasnt pitched for 10 days
  22. Miller down, Volstad up, please!!!!!! volstad starts tomorrow so not yet
  23. you are contradicting yourself. just stop. if yoiu dont want helms up there because his bat is cold then why woul you want hermida with a cold bat 2. No I'm not. Hermida, outside of Gonzo who already batted, has been hitting better than anyone on the bench tonight, and has been hitting better than Cody. Don't compare Hermida at .240 to Helms at .180. Hermida was the best option, which is why he batter to start the inning. But he should have batted in place of Cody and his .180 average. helms has had 12 at bats and didnt even have a big spring training. an if you keep using your logic then you wouldnt want a cold bat coming off the bech. this is just you obviously not liking helms I like Helms very much and you can see that I was in agreement with him being picked up. Helms bat is just the coldest on the bench. You said it yourself, he only had 12 ABs, a short ST, and didn't play at all in Philly. Jeremy is bating better than Cody, who's bat is cold as Ice. Rabelo's BA is actually slightly higher than Hermida's, and much higher tahn Helms, Cody, or Treanors. But I wouldn't count on him to do better than Jeremy, who's OPS is much better than Robos. you do know that we are 20 games into the season and batting averages dont mean anything until at least mid may. helms had a hit last time he was at bat and has gotten back to where he should be during the regular season.
