Lee had 30 homers last year, thats still a big feat, just look at the players who hit 30 or more last year, not one putz.

Wood isn't a "power pitcher" anymore.? He uses his curveball too much to be considered a guy who uses power to win.? They both are very effective, but no one really throws as hard and as accurately as Beckett... Wood not a power pitcher?? :shifty So because he has a curve ball hes not a power pitcher (Nolen Ryan used his curveball quite a bit, and guess whath Beckett too. Beckett sets up his curve with the fastball, Beckett's "out" pitch is still the fastball; Wood's "out" pitch is the curve. I think Becketts out pitch is his curve. He threw a bunch of curvs yesterday for strike three. That's because he had a lot of 0-2 and 1-2 counts; he could go offspeed. When it gets to be 2-2 and 3-2, he relies on the fastball a lot more than the curve. He's throwing the curve just about any time, but his best pitch is still the fast... The overall point is... My concern is whos gona be the 7th inning man since Bump is struggling. Bump did great out of that role last year. But we don't really have any other proven quality guys, since we all thought Neu would take this role it hasnt really been concerned about. I dont think its gona be wayne hes the long reliever, and perisho and phelps are mainly for lefties, that only leaves bump for the role, the choiced are (if he continues to struggle) are to send him down and bring someone up, or to keep him up and send down one of the bench players.

If Choi keeps up his production, I say move him to clean up, move Mikey to 3 and move Miguel to 5. That would be my ideal line up. Are ya listening, Trader Jack?????!!!!! Castro continues to disappoint in big situations - at this point, I want Red to be the starting catcher with Castro backing up. I know the power wont be there like with Castro, but I think we can take our chances with the power (Lowell, Cabs, Choi, Conine) - I'll take Red's clutch hitting and good batting average. On a complete team note: Great start! What a true pleasure to watch our games and feel the Marlins Pride! IT's been 6 games!!!!! We all know castro can hit, there are 162 games for a reason... Abe was bad today, he didn't even get get a hit...where''s all the people that said we should've traded him for a bullpen arm when his value was high???
