definately had to go with volstad. he pitched a great game against one the best offenses in baseball on another note the phillies acquired scott eyre off waivers and the rays acquired chad bradford.

If anyone should buy the Marlins it should be Micky Arison. He's a local guy that owns the Heat and has more money than Mark Cuban. anyone's better than our current cheapass owner. not to mention the heat are going to have a good young team with wade and beasley just like the marlins have a good young core of players.

phillips is a totally dumbass. the marlins have the best starting pitching the NL East. and probably the 2nd best in the whole NL behind the cubs. the worst part is he picked the mets to win the divison and that's not going to happen. i hope the marlins win it but if they don't it's definately going to be the phillies who have better pitching (starting & bullpen) and offense than the mets.

volstad has been good for us but davis has also been really good for the rangers too. for a fan that was voting and not being biased it would be a tough choice between the two.

i'd love to come but i live 17 hours away from dolphin stadium. i've never even been to a marlins home game.

i would just feel better with a veteran behind the plate. although if we can't get a veteran catcher i'd still be happy with baker i'm just worried if he gets hurt, then all we have is hoover while treanor and rabelo are injured.

i have to go with hermida. he went 2-4 and 4 rbi. he was also patient when he took that bases loaded walk to get the run in.

if we make the playoffs just make it a four man rotation with JJ, Anibal, Olsen, and Nolasco and we won't have to argue who gets kept out.

i'm not happy with our bullpen as it is so i wouldn't have traded lindstrom for rodriguez to make an even bigger hole in the bullpen. if the tigers would have taken tankersley i would have done that deal in a heartbeat. i really don't like tankersley and if the padres would take him for a bullpen arm like cla meredith i'd do that too.

we need someone who doesn't strike out and gets on base. Huff: .303 BA, 63 SO, and .360 OBP Jacobs: .245 BA, 85 SO, and .289 OBP McPherson: .299 BA,129 SO, and .409 OBP it doesn't matter if someone strike out alot as long as they get on base but i think that mcpherson is doing so well because of the minor league pitching and the home stadium. out of the 3 i'd take huff because he has the lowest strike out total and the highest batting average and has proven he can hit major league pitching which we don't know that mcpherson can do.

i don't know if someone already posted this but apparently the tigers wanted lindstrom from the marlins for ivan rodriguez. when the marlins passed on that the tigers went and traded rodriguez to the yankees for farnsworth. rodriguez is a free agent after this season, do you think that the marlins would sign him to a contract to mentor our young pitching staff for a year or two. http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2008/08/odds-and-ends-l.html

i think that we have a better chance of winning hte NL East. i think that the brewers and cardinals would be to hard to get by while the phillies and the mets are so inconsistant and could easily go into a losing streak.

i didn't think that the NBA would rig games but they clearly rigged the Lakers vs. Kings. Dang it my kings should have been champions. i think that david stern should be impeached and the kings should be given the 2002 championship like they deserve. IT was all Donaghy's fault not Stern's i think that stern was behind it because lakers vs. nets would have brought bigger tv ratings than kings vs. nets. let's go back talking about the marlins because all this 2002 championship talk is making me depressed.
