We are now 2.5 games back

i think that we have a better chance of winning hte NL East. i think that the brewers and cardinals would be to hard to get by while the phillies and the mets are so inconsistant and could easily go into a losing streak.

Division, Philadelphia and New York suck.

And it would be nice to have an NL East title for once, though I hope we don't win it by default. We could use a nice 10 game winning streak.

The Wildcard.

the Wildcard, because the cardinals and Brewers are on a tailspin currently so we should take advantage of that, either one is in our own hands because we play both the leaders of the wild card and the phils and mets all this week.

Wildcard both Breweres and Cards are going to die out

you may be right about dying out. if prince keeps trying to beat the sh*t out of all his team mates we could easily win the Wild card

Also hope that Pujols blows out his knee rounding 1st on a HR and Lohse dies while taking a sh*t

NL East. The Mets and Phillies are very overrated teams, and we play them more than we play the brewers and cardinals the rest of the year. So we can decide our own fate.

The way we are playing now...Wildcard at best...if we improve... NL East here we come

The Cardinals have one of the worst bullpens in the majors. The bottom of their line up, past Glaus, is pretty much a black hole.

The Brewers are showing signs of dissent within their down clubhouse. And Ned Yost is under heavy fire and insurmountable pressure.

Phllies/Mets = very inconsistent offense, much like the Marlins. The Mets bullpen is in shambles right now. Delgado seems to have cooled off again. The Mets are under heavy fire from their fans.

I would say, the Phillies are the best AT THE MOMENT of all the teams standing in the way.

everything you said is right. The marlins have to take advantage of this. And if they do they'll make the playoffs no matter what.

That's why I said wildcard, too.

I don't believe the Cardinals are this good...you also have to consider how guys like Lohse, Looper, and Wellemyer, in their rotation have had successful years. Will that last?

Regarding the Brewers, their bullpen isn't good, either.

We have a good shot at both...

We are by no means at a disadvantage in our division. The Mets and Phillies... its arguable that we are a better overall team than both of these teams...

As for the Cards and Brewers... well.. the Brew Crew are falling apart, and the Cards still will have to deal with the Cubs for 3 more series...

(the cardinals schedule is very odd... they have 2 two-game series within a week)

I think that the wild card will come down to the Cards and the 2nd place team in the East.

A month ago, I would have said the Wild Card was unattainable because of the beasts of the NL Central. Now, it is easily attainable IMO.

A month ago, I would have said the NL East title was attainable because of the inconsistencies of the Mets and Phillies. Now, unless we can somehow slow the Phillies, it does not seem so realistic.

So I'm going with the Wild Card, which hasn't hurt our chances in the past.

On one hand, I do want a division title, on the other hand I think "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" when I look at how well we did the other 2 times we went to the playoffs via the wildcard :lol

Division - We play the Mets and Phillies 9 times each.

Unless both the Cards and Brewcrew continue to fall apart then we jsut have to fight one other NL East team.

cards and brewers are pretenders

i think we have a "better" chance to win the wildcard but we can win either one, honestly...

I'm torn

whenever we make the playoffs as a wildcard, we win it all

I do however think that we'll have a better chance at the division... we have more games against division foes than NLcentral foes and every game really counts from now on

it feels like the NLeast games count for 2game each now

I already posted an article about this... but its ok!

I think we are going to win the division.
