C.j is using us too, trying to get more money out of the angels I dont see the Angels matching it with the rotation they have. C.J. is an ace, I dont have any question about that, but he pitched poorly in the post season and it´s a converted reliever. This has depressed his market value. He has a much higher ceiling than Buehrle so I hope it happens. But don't forget he is a California native and there has been speculation he wants to play there, this could become a factor in his decision.

Also... what ever happened to Yoennis? Not a FA yet. I believe the last report from his agent was he wanted more than 60MM?!? Fudge that.

Giving Buehrle 3 years seems like a much safer play True, but they may want both. This will make me forget all about Pujols in a second.

I am not comfortable with anything past 4 years unless the AAV is extremely low. He is going to be 37 at the end of this contract...

Heyman just said on MLB that the Marlins just offered CJ a 6 year offer. Not sure I like this contract length.
  6. @BNightengale #marlins say this is part of a 3 part move. Stay tuned #mlb He is talking about the Reyes signing.
  7. MLB network talking about Jose Reyes and about to show the presser in a bit.
  8. Scored the orange hat today. Looks pretty awesome, gonna pickup a customized BP from majestic with my next check. I can't find an option to customize the BP. Can you post me a link to the jersey I would really like to pick up a customized BP.
  9. He has a career 2.96 ERA at home which is a pitchers ballpark. Our new ballpark is also supposed to be a pitchers ballpark so just don't use him in away games and he should be fine.
  10. Yoenis Cespedes’ Asking Price By Ben Nicholson-Smith [November 21 at 10:28am CST] MONDAY, 10:28am: The $35-50MM estimate for Cespedes may be light, a GM tells Gammons. Cespedes' people told one club they already have an offer with $10MM up front and eight years. FRIDAY, 3:46pm: Cespedes may be looking to obtain more than $60MM on an eight-year deal, according to MLB.com's Joe Frisaro. The outfielder shoud be declared a free agent soon after he establishes temporary residency in the Dominican Republic in late November, according to Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports (on Twitter). 12:59pm: The question emerges whenever a star hits the free agent market: ‘how much will he cost?’ Yoenis Cespedes, the 26-year-old Cuban center fielder who is expected to hit free agency this offseason, has already drawn interest from many MLB teams and it sounds as though he expects to be paid like an established star, not a prospect. Cespedes' agents are positioning him as an impact MLB player, instead of comparing him to other Cubans who have made the leap to the Major Leagues, according to Danny Knobler of CBSSports.com (on Twitter). Scouts in the Dominican tell Peter Gammons of MLB Network that Cespedes will cost between $35-50MM (Twitter link). The Cubs will watch Cespedes and others in the Dominican Republic next week, according to MLB.com’s Carrie Muskat (on Twitter). The Red Sox, Phillies, Indians, Blue Jays, Pirates,Rangers, Tigers, Nationals, Athletics, Marlins, and Yankees also appear to have some interest in Cespedes. 10MM up front? I hope this is BS, I am still hoping we pick him up.
  11. Why can't I customize the player name/number on the jerseys? Is this option not available yet? I wan't to pick up some gear but I don't like the plain back jersey.
  12. GOD DANGIT. That frickin Blimp is driving me insane. Can you guys hear it on the Marlins Telecast? Yup, constant buzzing in the background.
  13. f*** this team
  14. Lowe has been struggling lately and we still can't do sh*t, this offense is just god aweful.
  15. Wow, you guys rock this is video is awesome. This is such a win win situation cuz I am sure you guys had a trip with this dude and at the same time I am sure Tyrone will never forget this day. Mad props to you and your buds who put this together.
  16. Lucky fat ass, god I hate Hinske.
  17. Trade him for some good SP's, Hanley sucking again.
  18. Hanley, grand slam here and this season is forgiven.
  19. Why did you not score, Wes? He didn't wanna break his pelvis rounding 3rd going full speed.
  20. Hey, at least we're not the Orioles. BAL 0 NYY 13 Bottom 2nd At least for Baltimore they can say hey it was against the Yankees. We wen't through that same thing against the Padres lol, whats worse?
  21. What were the questions asked?
  22. Padres may have been the nail in the coffin for a miracle run...Marlins can still finish at .500 or even over...but now at 49-53...73 losses is what, 89 wins? 89-73? Yeap. Yeah...can only afford 17 more losses...to get at 92-70. Blah....this team has a shot at it...if they go back to April/May ball. But stilll...I say Marlins are liekly to get hot like Gaby has said, and maybe match 2009's 87 win record. I think though...83-85 wins are most likely. 83-85 = 168 games, season is only 162 games.
  23. Nunez proves the save is overrated. If not for June, he'd be leading the majors by at least 5 saves and might even be on record pace. But he's just not that good. I wouldn't trust him as far as I could throw him in the playoffs. Yes, I know it wasn't a save situation in last night's game. The game thread is only one page and only 3 posts here. Is everybody out parting or was the Padres sweep the final nail in the coffin for the season to a lot of people? After later today's game there'll be two threads with the same title. :whistle Fixed. :thumbup
  24. "It's an arm-slot situation, where he needs to be more consistent," McKeon said. "He had a similar situation last year, and he came back and was lights out." He had a 4.32 ERA when he came back last year, hardly "lights out". Volstad is still young leave him in the minors till he learns how to pitch or get rid of him.
  25. Another one run loss?
