San Jose Athletics
Just move the team to a state that doesn't have a team or to one that wouldn't 4 teams within an hours drive of each other (angels and dodgers) and ten ( giants an athletics). Seems Like overkill and now would be the perfect time to move them. New Orleans Athletics? They already have football and basketball so why not?

The State of the Marlins' Rotation
Josh Hamilton is a free agent next year insofar as offensive options are concerned. Greinke, Hammels, Cain (and more) are FA pitchers next year. I have a feeling however the Yanks and Red Sox are going to be all over that FA pitching next off-season.

Yoenis Cespedes to Athletics
I hope we go after him, we definitely need another upgrade. I can see the FO going after him since he is Cuban and all and we are Cool. International. If we do get him the question is who do they move? Do they A) get rid of Mr. Twitter or B) Trade one cuban for another and get rid of Gaby?

Yoenis Cespedes to Athletics
After watching that, I kinda want the guy. Yah, could you imagine this. 1. Reyes - 40 SB's 2. Boni - 40 SB's 3. Hanley - 30 SB's 4. Stanton - 20 SB's (I wouldn't doubt he could do 30+) 5. Cespedes - 30 SB's (Maybe more) That would be a ridiculous top 5 to our batting order. Shift Boni to left and you upgrade the defense.

More Excellent Stadium News
So they won't have restaurants in the garages right away. Who cares? Probably a lot of folks, since it will mean that everyone that wants to eat, will have to stand in line inside the stadium, and that will lead to longer lines, food & drinks selling out quicker than they would have, and making for some unpleasantness, all of which may make some people think twice about going back to another game. It won't be the only reason they may not return, but it could be a factor. Such a shame but you should have expected this, its the City of Miami running this, possibly the worst run city ever. Wait, isn't the dry run of the Yankees game supposed to expose all these flaws so they have time to address this?

I haven't seen all the available spaces that they have for rent. Do they have spaces big enough for say an ale house? I think an ale house there would probably do pretty good?

Joe Saunders
I guess it would be an upgrade to Nolasco/Volstad and he is a lefty. But at what price?
-
Volstad
The difference is most of the pitchers you posted showed some sort of improvement in their first 4 years. Volstad can be a number 5 if you have solid #'s 1-3 which we have now. If you want a world series though I don't think Nolasco + Volstad can get it done, not in this division. if you get to the playoffs they'd likely go with a 4-man rotation anyway. I know, however at this point I would rather not give Nolasco a world series start. Nolasco gave up the MOST hits of the national league in 2011. No thanks.

Anyone else pissed that they're likely not going after Fielder sim
Jose Reyes seems under-appreciated in this signing, and that is because he's in the same free agent class as Albert Pujols. If Pujols hadn't been a FA this year, all eyes would have been on Reyes and Marlins fans would seem a little more grateful. Yeah I don't get this, Jose + Boni is somewhat similar to Pierre and Castillo. Does anyone remember what happened the year we had those two tearing up the base paths?

Pujols to Angels
So he gave up more money, a chance to be close to home, and play with other Dominican stars... WTF? I mean I wasn't crazy about the contract but now I am a little insulted... SORRY WE AREN'T GOOD ENOUGH A-HOLE.

C.J. Wilson to Angels
@Sullivan_RangerTR Sullivan C.J. Wilson could be ready to accept a six-year offer from the Marlins. The long-term commitment appeals to him and so does chance to hit :pray

C.J. Wilson to Angels
How would you guys feel if we sign them all? ALL! Marlins Baseball! Gotta catch em all!
-
C.J. Wilson to Angels
castrovince Anthony Castrovince CJ Wilson just arrived at the Anatole. IN DA HOUSE TWO lefty ~3 era caliber starting pitchers signing on the same day. CAN THIS HAPPEN?
-
C.J. Wilson to Angels
I don't want Wilson for 6 years, so I'm not eagerly anticipating this. I'd rather they just convince Javy to come back. I'd take Wilson at 6 years if they are able to move Nolasco. That would open a whole for a #5 and I don't see anybody we can trade for a better #5 than Nolasco at this point. JJ CJ Buehrle Anibal Nolasco Thats a really freakin good rotation, I mean I would rather have Gio than Nolasco but I don't see how we would be able to make that happen.

. . . Soooo . . . Hanley and 3B?
Is he watching MLBN? Yup, the lower bar is exactly like the one MLB puts with recent news.
-
Prince Fielder to Tigers
MLBN is saying he's going elsewhere. I guess no Miami for Fielder? I haven't heard anything either.. Don't pay attention to anything, a few hours ago Buehrle was going to the Nats.

Mark Buehrle, Marlins agree to 4 year/$58 million contract

Man can ST start already? I feel like a kid in a candy store!
-
C.J. Wilson to Angels
You guys are ridiculous. 10 years for Pujols is fine but 6 for Wilson is crazy? They're overpaying Wilson, but they were grossly overpaying Pujols - and his contract was potentially more detrimental. I think everyone felt deep down that 10 years is ridiculous, but at the same time it's Albert friggin Pujols so it's tough to hate it. This.

C.J. Wilson to Angels
Jon Heyman just said Angels unlikely to go to 6 years also agrees this may be in the bag for the Marlins.

C.J. Wilson to Angels
C.j is using us too, trying to get more money out of the angels I dont see the Angels matching it with the rotation they have. C.J. is an ace, I dont have any question about that, but he pitched poorly in the post season and it´s a converted reliever. This has depressed his market value. He has a much higher ceiling than Buehrle so I hope it happens. But don't forget he is a California native and there has been speculation he wants to play there, this could become a factor in his decision. That's probably why we threw six years at him when the Angels reportedly offered five years. The way to get him to rethink his desire to play in California is to overpay him. This may very well be the case, I also don't see any other team going 6 years on CJ, this may be in the bag.
