Jake Peavy was kind of arrested at an airport for parking in a wrong spot, and then being pissed off about it and yelling at a cop. I'm guessing you missed this. He's far away from mild mannered. He gets almost as pissed off as Olsen. He never yelled at the cop. He double parked in front of the terminal to drop off his bags, the cop told him to move or else hed get a ticket, and Peavy just told him to go ahead and write it. It was a completely bogus arrest, and the charges were dropped. nitpick. nitpick. He was arrested for disorderly conduct, regardless if it was thrown out or not. The post was, he thought he was mild mannered and was surprised with Peavy's aggressive comments. I am not surprised by them when Peavy is mouthing off cops when he's the one doing something wrong. Crazy linking I've come up with, I know. Telling a cop to go right ahead and write a ticket against you doesnt mean youre aggressive or have a bad attitude. He didnt do anything wrong, the cop was just being a huge prick.

The question now shifts from "who's car is he gonna drive?" to "Is budweiser still gonna be on his car?" I think he starts over fresh, IMO. Visa or Coca-Cola is my guess. Not 100% sure, but I think Bud announced they were staying on with Dale Jr.

Novak Djokovic is not only the world #6 (after the French Open he'll most likely be in the top 4 or 5), but he has won as many Masters Series Tournaments in 2007 as "Golden Boy" Roger Federer. what I don't agree with is saying that this kid is a nobody and will never be seen again. It's the same as if ESPN Deportes (want a real SportsCenter??) highlights a Tiger Woods win by saying that he beat out some guy named Phil Mickelson. Never heard of him. It is true, the American audience only cares for Football, Golf, NASCAR, and sometimes baseball. The NBA?? Now that it's gone global and most of the best players are NOT American, people here don't really seem to care about it much anymore. The NBA Finals got less coverage than the "lead up" to the NFL Draft. Why the hell do I need to know that JaMarcus Russell is going #1 a full 5 months before the draft. Not only that, but they feel the need to remind you everyday for the next 5 months with an hourly show. Football is only American, like NASCAR, and Golf, and don't say that Golf is a world sport cause it's not. In the end, I do wish that they would show more of the things going on in the rest of the world right now, that just what is going on here. Andy Roddick So yeah, that's the world #3 and #4 players that ESPN dissed. And Roddick drops from #3 to #5. And theyre absolute nobodies next to Federer/Nadal That's a winning attitude right there. Give these guys a chance dude. Novak is only 19, give him a couple of years and he WILL impress. Federer was a total nobody at 19 and only became "The Invincible Federer" at the age of 24. and Federer didn't get the pub still he started impressing. Once these guys give Nadal and Federer a run in the 4 majors, people may start to take notice until then, winning smaller tourneys will catch no ones attention Bingo. When they get to the top, SC and everyone else will give them props.

Ocean's 12 to me was like a practical joke was being played on the audience. I imagined the producers and writers sitting around going, "Well how far do you think we can push it? no rain checks for the delay afaik...i'm going to ask before tomorrows game...it says if the rain delay is 90 mins or more, there are rain checks, but the delay was 86 mins. The American public as a whole doeesn't give a sh!t about tennis, especially when you consider there was no Americans. As Fox said, if you don't like ti don't watch. Interesting. I've heard from three of my friends who said it was the best to them. It'd have to be better than the atrocious Ocean's Twelve (one of my least favorite films ever) but if you say it wasn't that doesn't look good for me seeing this in theatres. I wanna see it just because Pacino is in it. It was A LOT better than Twelve. Not saying much, because Twelve was one of the worst movies Ive ever seen, but Thirteen was very entertaining. I like that it went back to what made Eleven so great - being in Vegas, scheming the whole movie for one big score, and actually featuring each of the characters extensively (unlike 12 where I felt like Clooney and Pitt got all the attention while some of the other guys were basically absent). Also Pacino alone is worth the price of admission All in all Id say it goes 11>13>>>>>12

About those two guys in the French Open, theyre nobodies compared to Federer and Nadal. They are the only two tennis players that matter, so who cares if those two guys get the shaft? i coudl understand if they are not in the top 10 but the number 4 & 6 should matter because they have beaten those players before hell Djokovic could be a number 1 in a couple of years, he is THAT good and he is only 19 years old And nobody in ESPNs target audience cares I dont watch anymore because it is horrible and makes my blood pressure rise. I dont really fault ESPN for not covering soccer, at least on the main network and the deuce(ESPNU covers collegiate soccer I think and Deportes covers international soccer I would imagine). Soccer just doesnt have mainstream appeal in this country. then dont call it the worldwide leader in sports and im sure that more people would watch soccer than competitions about fishing and bowling and all that other crap they call "sports" If ESPN isn;t the worldwide leader in sports, who is??
