September 17, 200420 yr And our season along with him.... Doesn't mean much coming from you since we were basically mathematically eliminated in your opinion in August. :plain Bad news about AJ. Major setback for the team IF he is done.

September 17, 200420 yr one pitcher make a team not. 561849 Exactly. We won it all without one of our best pitchers last year. Hmm...

I admire your optimism... 561838 As long as we have a game to play, we have a chance. I dont see it any other way. This team has enough to win these games. This team is the ONLY team that can overcome such adversity. It is no small feat, but this team is capable and you will not hear them make excuses. In fact, I am feeling more and more like...
September 17, 200420 yr I dont know what we are going to do. Now with only two Three Decent Starting pitcher. Dontrelle, having a solid .500 year but not doing awesome like AJ was doing.
September 17, 200420 yr dont be such a downer. Sure, its going to be harder without Burnett to back us up, but the Marlins are still in this. we still have pavano, willis, valdez, and countless others. they can make it. go marlins!!

Of course, seeing your name, I see why you said that. :thumbup
September 17, 200420 yr "I'm feeling all right," he said. "I'm beat up more mentally than physically. It feels a little better today than the last couple of days. Best-case scenario, I'll miss a start or two." Here you go, Mr. Optimistic. If AJ can thinking positively, why can't you?? :mad :

September 17, 200420 yr I'd be more worried if this news came from a doctor. Take the article at face value- all AJ's saying is that if his arm still hurts, he's not gonna pitch. Well, duh. They said it was just some inflammation and it already feels better.
September 17, 200420 yr Looks like Josh, Pavs & Dontrelle will have to step up to make this run. 561928 Yea - the talk is that D-Train will pitch one of the games on Monday with 3 days rest. If anyone can do it, its DTrain - young and strong. By the way, I went to the game last night with my son. we sat in the field founders seats on the third base side...as we were leaving, the equipment manager flipped Luis Castillo's game used batting gloves to me son. Kinda neat.

September 17, 200420 yr Perhaps a 4-man rotation should be considered for the rest of the season? 562080 ~I'd settle for that, no problem
September 17, 200420 yr The only thing with the four man rotation is that if we do make the playoffs they will probably be tired. Lets just hope we can find someone to work every 5th day, so we arent getting killed out there, if in fact AJ is out for the year. Lets hope SD takes 2 from san fran this weekend.
September 17, 200420 yr Perhaps a 4-man rotation should be considered for the rest of the season? 562080 IMO, not a good idea when your only reliable arms in the pen are Mota and Benitez. There is no way that starters can go deep into the games on a 4th man rotation
